The official posters are so lame compared the the artsy and exclusive ones.
I'm just so sad that this one was already gone and too expensive for me:
That one, the IMAX one, and the Regal one, I need them to adorn my walls. I wanna frame them in a beautiful frame, repaint my wall, and just make those the centerpiece.

Any chance I'll get some sort of poster at a Century theater?
Cinemark Theaters (of which Century is a part) will be giving posters out for Thursday showings. I am not sure which one it will be though.

Well, I guess it depends on how many show up and whether they have enough to "spill over" into the 10:15PM showing. It's always possible. I think it's safe to assume, though, that they'll be completely out tomorrow night sometime.

Maybe you'll get lucky and someone will forget their poster and leave it tucked safely between the seat [the seat(s) directly in-front/beside you] and be missed by the cleaning crews?
I mean, there's always a chance. A super-small, microscopic, unfathomable chance, but a chance nonetheless!
You can always do what I did and simply purchase one via an auction [if you're super-desperate, that is].

If you (or anyone else) can get their hands on an extra full size Yoji Shinkawa poster, I'd gladly pay shipping and like thirty bucks for it.
Surprises do excite the senses.

Whenever I ship items [mostly due to auctions sold on EBay], and it can be a real pain sometimes. To have it done for free? Yes, I will take it!
Either way, just enjoy the movie. I know we're making a lot of fuss and such over these posters [mostly because we're fans of stuff like this, and because they look so incredible], but in the end, it's all about the movie.
I can't wait to see it, personally, but unfortunately I must [until next week]. But as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder?

I'm certain you've got a ton of people potentially wanting some, and you might not get them, but add me to the list if you can grab a few of the Regal ones. There's only one Regal in my state and it's too far to get to. I'd love to frame both posters to put on my wall.
EDIT:Wait, just read that you're picking up the AMC IMAX one. Der. I need to pay more attention, haha
If you can do it, give me a shout and we'll see if we can work something out. I really do like both posters and having them next to each other on the wall would be really neat.
It's nice to see people who go above-and-beyond to help people out, especially out of little consideration for themselves. Know that it is appreciated, as many fellow-GAF'ers will undoubtedly agree.
I'm still hopeful that I'll be able to secure one of those Regal/Yoji Shinkawa posters, but if not, I thank you anyway for trying.

Man, I think it's crazy that I happen to live in one of the few states in the US that doesn't have a bunch of Regal theaters. If there was one even remotely close, I'd totally go see the film again. I'm sure I wouldn't have minded, given this film seems tailor made for me.

That does sound like bad luck on your part [not on mine, since we don't have those theaters in Canada...at all!]. The funny thing? I've already decided to see this movie twice in IMAX, and I've yet to even go. That's how confident I am that I will enjoy it.
...I might even see it three times, but I will decide that once I get the initial viewing in! Two times is a guarantee, though, since I'm going with two separate parties at two separate times [plus I have full belief that I will absolutely love the movie].

I was going to see this movie this weekend but, I was reminded of EVO is this weekend. I'll catch the film Monday or Tuesday.

Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy) personally asked Shinkawa to draw the poster, and the director commented that it is an honor to be to able to work with such an eminent Japanese artist and illustrator.
Game designer Fumito Ueda (Ico, Shadow of the Colossus) remarked that Japanese tokusatsu films burned an indelible mark on his impressionable mind when he saw them as a child. Years later, he said that this film has battle scenes that surpass those images etched into his nostalgic memories. (Get back to work, Ueda)
