That verdict was quick. Once I heard not guilty I thought it was only for the first charge of 2nd degree. Was expecting the bomb to drop a second later and say guilty on manslaughter. Guess that's not how it works here. Just glad this is all over.

Depends on the jury, but yeah, if you kill someone with no witnesses and claim self-defense you have legal precedent now. I'm not going to go crazy and say this is opening the floodgates - there will be no riots, people - but hopefully this gives our country pause.

Time for a long period of reflection on what led us to this verdict.

Not guilty was the only reasonable verdict. Witness testimony was spotty at best. So the only people who really know what happened are Zimmerman and the kid he killed. That's enough for reasonable doubt, therefore you can't convict.

I can see not guilty on murder 2, but I can't understand how it isn't manslaughter. He followed TM after being told not to by dispatch, which I feel is instigating before a punch was thrown, and was directly responsible for TM's death.
