Let the riots begin. I got dibs on the 4k tv.

Yeah, no thanks. I live a mile or two from the couthouse. I'm pissed the media has been circling "what if there's riots?" story all week, and I doubt there gonna let the story die any time soon.

I know alot of people who will be really upset by this off to my news-feeds. I wonder how long it will take for somebody to go after him. He'll probably be in hiding from now on.

Could you imagine a black man killing a white teenager, make a statement at the police station, and be in bed by the end of the night without being charged?

The fact that this case almost didn't go to trial says a lot more

Let's be real here; Zimmerman's life is still goddamn over.

The civil suit will destroy him. His wife is probably going to jail for the bond thing. As cute as it sounds, the NRA/Fox News/etc etc want nothing to do with him. That is that.

That mother fucker can raise some funds, civil case or not. Shit's fucking disgusting.

LMAO this little kid on CNN.

reporter asks the kid : " what do you feel about the verdict?"

kid:" I think they did the right thing"

*dad looks at him*

kid: "I mean, I think he should have went to jail."

Care to clarify why this is "great news?" The asshole pursued a kid under racist notions that he was up to no good and killed him.

Such fucking bullshit.

It's a weak case and a media sensation that wasn't dragged on for an excessive period of time.

For those unfamiliar with state law vs. federal law - how much did this taking place in Florida affect the outcome compared to any other state? Is it that much different?

no manslaughter? hm. But this verdict isn't too surprising.

I can't even image what Trayvon's parents are feeling.

I hope people see Zimmerman's not guilty verdict due to the jury not finding the evidence "good enough". And not because Trayvon was this weed smokin' thug who jumped weakling Zimmerman from a bush or something.

That might be too optimistic.

I think this is a case of Zimmerman probably being a racist who profiled Martin, but that doesn't prove 2nd degree murder.

This motherfucker is smiling in the court. Smug son of a bitch.

I think anyone getting off on a murder charge would be smiling....

And Florida's laws are stupid, but there just wasn't enough evidence to convict. Sadly, we will never know what really happened. Hopefully Jesse Jackson stops with these race-baiting trials. Duke case blew up in his face, now this one.

O'Mara and the defense did a great job, but this verdict is a failure of legislation more than anything else at this point. There have to be more grey areas and a thorough look at self defense law in general.

He gets to use the same gun again. It's no longer evidence in a crime and will be returned to him. SMH, Florida.

Cool dudes playing cowboy suffer no consequences they even get their gun back. Some of those laws are seriously built to fuck victims over it seems.

The correct outcome because the prosecution had such a weak case and couldn't prove crap. Now I think Zimmerman was a cop-wannabe idiot who should have never owned a gun, but he did not do anything against Florida law.

Also, if there any riots, it will be the news media to blame for really making this about race. Just imagine if Zimmerman had killed a white guy, the news media would have ignored it after a single day. But because they play up racial tensions with "white" on African American violence, it became a huge news story. The disgusting news media would have loved it even more if Zimmerman was white instead of hispanic...

Happy for my state of Florida. The correct verdict in the trial was reached. Not happy about the outcome but it was the correct decision - the prosecution should really be ashamed of themselves after this one.

Why? The problem here was Florida's law. Not the prosecution's case. The fact that the law does not hold this man responsible for a series of poor decisions that led to a 17 year old's death was the problem.

Not even manslaughter for his stupidity in following the kid to begin with, which led to the murder that should have never happened. Disgraceful. Even worse, this guy will get book and movie deals and will be set for life. Meanwhile, Trayvon Martin is still dead and his family has no real closure. They are just having their faces rubbed in it all for their trouble.
