This is America. They don't have to give a shit. At least it's better than what I thought we'd be able to choose from. I think I spent more time completing the surveys (over and over again) than it would take of me working to earn the cash to buy the CD, but there you go.

CD get, and we'll see what happens next year.
 
Hey guys, while it's totally totally cool to discuss the prizes in here, someone should make a thread about it so that readers who don't ordinarily check this thread but who might be eligible for the gold or platinum prizes can be made aware that they have been released. Cheers. :)
 
After last years gifts I quit giving proper answers to the surveys, looks like that will continue. Not going to work for Nintendo and provide them with useful marketing imformation for this cheap shit.

Crappy prizes, but it was to be expected with the Wii U and 3DS this year. I went with the CD because I don't like video game posters in general and I wouldn't use any of the other rewards. Not that I'll use the CD either, but I love the game so...

I just hope the prizes are better next year. I'm getting very apathetic towards Club Nintendo in general with 3 years of crappy Platinum rewards in a row and unexciting prizes in general.
 
So Shin Megami Tensei IV is worth owning? I have an unregistered Fire Emblem 7 (I didn't want to register it until after since I wasn't going to reach platinum on time), and the $30 eshop promotion for registering both games is appealing.

I got myself Link's Awaking for my Gold award. I already own it, but it was either that or the calender.

Basically if you don't like the game you still can get your cash back :D

It seems to be a good game but I have no way of knowing if you'd like it.

Check out the SMTIV thread for more of an idea of the game. The short description is a single player only pokemon with demons, but not garbage like Pokemon's single player. That's selling it short, but I'm too lazy to go into depth about it.
 
Even though I already own the original Pioneer Japanese soundtrack release, as well as the Nintendo Power catalog release, I went with the soundtrack. Posters just end up sitting in my closet, never being removed from the tubes in which they were shipped. At least I have no reason to open it, so it'll make a nice collectable.

I find the choice of game really odd, especially with Wind Waker HD coming out in a few months. Why not an OST to A Link Between Two Worlds? Is a Majora's Mask remake on the way? Such a random choice.
 
I chose Super Mario Land. Warioware was tempting but it's the Wiiware thing that drew me off.

I have no interest in the physical prizes. I already have a bunch of posters that I need to hang.

My guess would be they thought it would complement the OoT soundtrack given away in 2011. I have to agree, although I would've preferred Wind Waker personally.
 
I'm just getting Link's Awakening I guess, I love MM but the soundtrack is always there for me. Plus, a ton of people seem to be gearing up to sell it on ebay haha. But if this means it's coming for the 3DS at some point, then I'm a happy camper.

The rewards are to be expected, I can't really say anything else about it.
 
The Pikmin and Wind Waker posters are actually quite nice. The Luigi one I don't care about... shame they didn't have an unadorned Wind Waker poster with the 2D artwork instead though. I don't really care for the fact that it's a recreation of the illustration with the HD models.
 
Is it strange not to have received an email informing me of the Gold/Platinum prizes? I hit Platinum this year and no email, and when I log into Club Nintendo I see no prompt to redeem my prize. :(

Also, all of my "To-Do's" vanished. I had around five Post-Play surveys to do, and they're now gone, every single one of them. :/

Yes, only one of anything. If you choose a gold, you end up forfeiting your platinum.

You might as well go for the CD and sell it. Then you can buy Link's Awakening and still make a profit.
 
I'm really shocked that the Majora's Mask OST isn't the unanimous pick here. That's what I decided to get, and I'm really fucking excited for it. The WWHD poster does look cool, but other than that, eh. To each their own, I guess.

Nintendo could've offered an actual wish granting triforce as a reward, and GAF would've still been disappointed.
 
Anyone think it's plausible that getting the MM OST here makes a MM 3DS release less likely? This is based on the fact that the OOT soundtrack was a reward for buying OOT 3DS. I read this speculated elsewhere.

I figured since we got OoT's OST for getting the remake, seems possible there might be some kind of tease going on. Granted, it's possible I'm looking into it too much.
 
Ehh, kinda hard for me to choose between the two platinum rewards because I can't be bothered with CDs and I don't really hang posters. Maybe I'll just get the MM OST just to rip it and then stash it away.
 
Went with the LoZ MM soundtrack. Don't need posters or a calendar, and games are cheap enough to be useless as prizes. Maybe I'll have better luck next year if I platinum again.
 
I grabbed the poster set. I haven't gotten one of them before and I liked the Wind Waker one. I didn't really care about MM OST and Smash 64 will likely go up as something you can get with coins eventually anyway.
 
Crap prizes again. I think I'm done filling out these surveys. They take forever and they're annoying.

I love Majora's Mask, but I've had that OST for what, 13 years now? I'm not interested in owning CDs anymore so it's hard to care about that. I'll also never use the posters.

I'll probably pick Sakura Samurai as it's the only game on that list I don't own in some form.

Of course I'm greedy and want more than another poster... But last years posters were printed very nicely, and just look great. They weren't some nasty cheap thin Kinkos print. If this years are of the same quality, I'll be happy.

Then again, I loved my pins set while everyone else bitched.
 
I'm going to pick the posters tonight:

Wind Waker: Beautiful, detailed, colorful.

Luigi Poster: I love the contrasting shades of green. The background is stunning. I would pay a lot of money for a 3DSXL with a glossy pattern of that.

Pikmin 3 Poster: I love the horizontal aspect. Love the colors. Wish I could have gotten it before the game comes.

I guess I should start wishlisting Amazon frames early. I got my last set of frames for 99c.
 
I can't do CD's it just seems like a waste and I never listen to video game OST's

Posters it is. I will throw them in the closet with my other Zelda poster set from Club Nintendo.

someday I will frame them.

edit: I feel like this year is so much better then those dumb ass pins.
I did turn them into fridge magnets though so that was awesome.
 
Great rewards this year! Still trying to decide between the posters and MM OST. I honestly think I already have the MM OST from the old NP catalog; wish my brain worked! No matter what I pick, definitely going to buy the other one (hopefully through GAF?).
 
Need help from someone! I got Elite status in the previous year, logged in and Club Nintendo told me to redeem my gift. I then go to select the CD and it tells me that I don't apply for the gift, in fact all of them told me the same thing. Is it something wrong on my account or is this Nintendo's site not working?

Edit: Nevermind, tried a few times again and it worked. Got the Majora's Mask OST.
 
I think the posters look pretty cool. It's nice they always give us 3 when they do them. I love the Luigi one. Free stuff is always nice.

Great. The one year I get Platinum, and all the prizes I would want are Gold prizes as well. I don't want to waste my Platinum though.

Assuming I can change the mailing address, I'm willing to have my Platinum prize go out to someone with Gold if they give me their Gold prize. I'm assuming they give you a code to redeem the games.
