They did by having the first minute be tournament footage and people still don't fucking get it.
And its not just total dudebros. Gaf is almost as bad with the whole "fighting game is obtuse" and the whole mentality that you have to be able to do 1-frame combos in order to play.
Front loaded means the team becomes substantially weaker after the first character dies. HSF -> Beam hyper is fantastic, Tatsu is one of Sentinel's best assists, and drones are fantastic for Akuma. It's a very well-balanced team. If I used Spencer, I would probably use that team.to me spencer sent akuma is Extremely front loaded. Its Spencer with 2 assists. the least front loaded spencer team is bees team which might not even be a spencer team but a frank west team instead tbh
For the general populace, doing a qcf consistently is really hard. There's more execution required in a single qcf motion than in any FPS.That's so silly, I'll never understand why people think fighting games require massive ability to combo and 'do moves' when that makes up so little about what makes for good fighting game fundamentals.
Part of the problem, though, is that you go into trial mode, start doing things, then it asks you to do 3 jabs in a row. (SF). And there's absolutely no explanation of what's going on, other than "it sometimes works."Yeah, I even pointed that out to him. They should make it more blatant.
This is where people get the attitude that the FGC are full of elitist. They don't play the game but they all have a fucking opinion on what it should be, how it should be played and when they hear people who actually play the game they just say things like "o you're brainwashed/a fanboy"
Like the whole aspect of zoning, they just don't understand at all. They don't understand that patching cost money, and this isn't some small patches. To them, they couldn't careless that Dhalsim now has an armor breaking normal. Matter of fact, they probably would hate it and want it nerfed.

Rapid Slash hits are technically considered projectiles.

Would be funny if they presented "something" there instead of E3.
The worst part of it is that there's an input buffer on wakeup/reversal. So as a player, it doesn't make sense when you can't do in one situation what you can do in another. You didn't say beam... you said projectile.
Oh snap.
I have seen this happen first hand.
One of my friend got AE on PC. I was watching him do some Akuma trials. I think he got to the first basic link trial. It looks easy enough on paper and he did it... but it didn't work obviously because he didn't time it. So he kept trying it only he thought he was supposed to do it super fast. It just became a mash fest until he finally got it to work randomly. Then later on when he had to link into specials he gave up altogether.
And I can't blame him for it. I eventually explained to him what the system was and he thought it was stupid. Plus he didn't get the point of these links when he can just do normal into hadouken FADC into normal, Tatsu, SRK for good damage.

Trials, to me, are "here are some basic things to learn!" But it doesn't explain how to learn them or how the system works or why your stuff always works sometimes. For me, I use trials as a "what works". First thing I did in SFxT was trials and just looked at how some of them work and went "o..so thats my starter into that target combo" etc etc.
Problem is if capcom ever put a warning saying "these combos are not optimal and are just guidelines", people wouldn't even boot up trials to begin with.
Its just that people lack creativity and can't think out of the box.

It's a beam still, so yeah.

He did.Has FChamp commented on his EVO performance yet?
Is it the nominal amount of practice required for basics that is the turn off?

I once thought this same thing, and then I met Zero players who snap her in. :-(He did.
Wasn't really all that salty.
*Gave props to Cloud, said he was very good and was super nice so he couldn't go heel mode on him.
*On Zak, FChamp said he sensed nervousness so he went full heel mode to throw him off his game and it worked.
*Said Nemo was really good but extremely unorthodox in his playstyle which is why both ChrisG and hin were thrown off by him. Was super salty about losing a ton of money to the Japanese and wants a 20K runback.
*His biggest disappointment about EVO was not playing ChrisG but he will get to play ChrisG at the VxG 5 grand 2v2 exhibition.
*Also explained why he went Phoenix against the Zero teams instead of Dorm. He said that if you don't win the point war against Zero you have an extremely high chance of losing your secondary as well. Phoenix at 3rd with 5 bars at least allows him a chance to play plus he can use that 1 bar Phoenix Rage to maybe avoid a mix up.

What the camera unfortunately didn't catch was RIB throwing his controller across the room after the match.
this is kind of fucked up... or is RIB some kind of notorious douche?
Both of them are douches...one is classic old school douche the other is new blood douche...
Idk how its fucked up...shit talk is normal.
I've been to my share of tournaments.. 99% of competitors aren't on that level of shit talk during their matches, or even close.
Has twitch confirmed they're going to refund everyone that paid for the HD stream and it didn't work? That was the worst part about EVO this year. Everything else was classic.
...do you really want to be the guy to demand a refund from a scholarship fund?
I did it just for you, VJC. Even if I think my sloth needs an upgrade. Maybe some spinning rims or LED underbody lights.![]()

Both take practice, but using dual analogs is decidedly easier than making d-pad motions. It's really hard to relate to this since I was doing hadoukens my very first time in the arcade, and since I still constantly die in FPSes because I can't run and look behind me at the same time.
Do you know of any great Hawkgirl tutorials?Hawkgirl has the best mobility in the game because of flight, so obviously she can't be zoned in a game like injustice. People just don't use her because she doesn't have great combos, but as you can see, she gives Superman problems.

As someone who's done both competitively, this isn't really true, even on console where FPSs are generally toned down. For the general populace, doing a qcf consistently is really hard. There's more execution required in a single qcf motion than in any FPS.
