Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

Um, have you played any of the Zelda games? I don't see how kicking people in the face copying Captain Falcon's Falcon Punch fit him at all. He doesn't even use his sword!
I'll be actually okay if they keep his Down B while revamping his entire moveset.

Ganondorf is really only in three Zelda games. In two of them he can hit things really hard and throw energy balls, in one he uses a sword, and in one he uses twin swords. I don't see how his Smash Bros. moveset doesn't fit him. It's not like he needs to use a sword.

Side-B you mean. That's like the only move he has that makes sense.

Because Ganondorf is never shown to know martial arts or fighting with his bare hands?

Also, Ganon = Ganondorf transformed, so he's been in more than 3 games.

One of his three attacks in OoT is to punch the ground and create a shockwave, and in Twilight Princess he kills one of the sages with his bare hands. He may not fight Link in hand-to-hand combat but it's not like hitting things hard is alien to his character.

I know that Ganon is Ganondorf, but their abilities are pretty distinct from each other. Ganondorf doesn't turn invisible or throw fireballs around like he does as Ganon, and I don't think Ganon ever flies around shooting energy beams. I would think that if Sakurai did rework Ganondorf, he wouldn't incorporate most of the stuff he uses as Ganon into his moveset.

Don't forget the projectiles he used in over half of his appearances. It feels weird for him not to have a energy ball to throw considering that's a major part of his encounters for Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Four Swords Adventures, Twilight Princess, and maybe a few others I haven't played yet.

Don't forget the original Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past, and the Oracle games. Ganondorf has used magic projectiles in every single one of his major appearances.

Is anyone expecting an improved version of the Stage Editor/Custom Stages or it's just me?
I think it was a great idea adding this feature to Brawl but I feel it could be much better.
More backgrounds, more pieces/platforms to play with. idk.. I'd like to see that again.

Fox in Melee actually looks like a badass. A character that was once a campy stuffed animal on a box became cool. How did they do this? Again, a lot of it comes down to proportions.

The most obvious difference is his head shape. Melee Fox has a longer snout and it takes up more space on his face. It is very close to what you would expect from a matured canine in real life. New Fox's head is more cartoon inspired. He's got a tiny little snout dropped down to the bottom of his face and a massive cranium. This styling (possibly unbeknownst to the artist) makes him look like a baby/much younger animal. He's goofy looking, not cool or imposing. He also has the build of a young boy, maybe pre-teen age. Melee Fox appears to have a more muscular build, wider shoulders, properly fitted clothing (dem shoes). Compare their head to body ratios. New Fox's head is massive, possibly even bigger than it was in Brawl.

It's unfortunate that Fox will look like this for a second time because of a poor redesign. I mean, just look at the old Fox. Dude's just standing there and he looks like he could reclaim a star system without breaking a sweat. Teenfox looks like he's runnin' off to clown college.

Perfect analysis. You made me fully realize now why I dislike Brawl/U Fox while still loving Melee's.

I think they probably went with the 'taller, less goofy' paradigm to make him 'cooler' the same way Sega did with Sonic a long time ago. Too bad they actually ruined the original concepts this way.

It's unfortunate, because if they sticked close to their Command model, we shouldn't have this 'slim' Fox that belongs to Adventures/Assault instead (and that should be forgotten).

New pic of the day (Miiverse post incoming):

Wow, beaten by Serebii. What an honor. :P Sorry. :(

Don't fret. I have to constantly check these each morning in case of Pokémon news :)

Miiverse caption: Pic of the day. Viridi, Goddess of Nature, is about to obliterate the humans as they battle, driven by greed.

Look closely my son. They have outlines. It's way too jaggy to be a Wii U screenshot. It's also native 3DS res I think.
Not as obvious as other shots we've seen and the point of the outlines were to be visible so it's odd they hardly are in that screenshot.

Since it's a KI:U stage it has to be a 3DS screenshot.

Sounds like Sakurai is hinting at a reset bomb about to fall...again lol.

Yeah, perhaps he pulled out the camera Also doesn't help that a lot of the screenshots we've seen are zoomed in giving the impression of thicker outlines.

May have to replay that KI:U chapter tonight.

Interesting choice for a new Uprising stage. I really wonder what they'll do for the WiiU version.

Probably a Kid Icarus 1 based stage. Would make sense since it's the only console Kid Icarus game.

They are more likely to go with updated Skyworld.

I would be so disappointed if that were the case. Just bring the Brawl Skyworld level as a returning stage and then make an Underworld level or something!

...Then again they could have both...

I think you're right. Dare I hope for a randomly chosen Chapter 20 version? I do hope Sakurai doesn't adhere to separating content by console and handheld origins too much.

This philosophy can't be too strict, or else franchises such as Pikmin and Ice Climbers won't have a 3DS stage; were he to reappear, Mr. Game & Watch wouldn't have a Wii U stage either.
