Yeah, on next gen consoles. I didn't phrase it correctly, what I wanted to say is that for a game that didn't have to face any limitations like ARR because of current gen consoles, it dosn't look very good.

It is pretty much the only great white hope left in the foreseeable future, what with Blizzard not being able to get their shit together. So if it ends up not delivering I may actually be forced to keep playing games that disappoint me world wise.
Yes, however the physical disc will only contain the install data, you don't need, or should I say, the game doesn't use the disc to play after the initial install.
So with the early access code you might not use the disc at all.
Well, Bethesda character designs are some of the worst there are. I didn't get to see the live stream so not sure about the world, something they usually design better than the characters.
Even if it doesn't, its free. So, whatever. lol

Anyone have a quick summary of tanking with a Marauder vs tanking with a Gladiator? I enjoyed my time with the Marauder before but I want to main a tank, so I'm curious on peoples' opinions.
I know how that goes. While I'm fairly well settled on most of my characters features, I keep getting caught up on little things like his hair. Keep going back and forth between wanting to make him look handsome, and wanting to make him look like a badass. I know that, there's going to be a barbershop in game, and hopefully they'll add new styles, but its still rather tough.

Put some hair on that highlander and it wouldn't be so bad. Too bad there is only like 2 or so good looking hairs for them.
That's the problem there. I didn't like anything else. It's either that or straight up bald.

Yeah, this was one of the 2 or 3 that I found acceptable. Got to make sure to stay with earthtones for color for their hair and eyes to make anything look decent as well.
Actually still trying to decide between this or 2 other races. May post the other ones for people to help me out after this EQN thing.

I was going to go with N'uada Nunh, but since that FFXIV name generator has every male sunseeker surnamed "Tia," I somehow suspect it'd be really, out of character culturally to go with Nunh. I'd ask the SquareEnix FFXIV forum where they have the Miqo'te name conventions listed, but despite having a SE account, they won't actually let me post there.
Having the option to change my name later would, really make this a far less weighty decision. Though, either case I think I'm going to have to drop the aliterative naming schemes I favor if I want to keep using the name Nuada. *sigh*

So they will be very useful for the first hour you play every class.
Maybe longer, you can usually get away with using one or two pieces of below level equipment for a little while, at least if you're playing carefully.
Granted, I might prefer it if you could just, convert them into XP+ Materia. Sure you'd only be able to attach it to one piece of equipment, but still. Seems unlikely though, since that sort of thing could potentially be game breaking.

I figured that'd be a fudge, at least as a beginning adventurer. I mean, I could see a particularly famous adventurer being granted the title, but they might expect him to retire afterward.
Means I'll probably have to drop the whole alliterative naming scheme though. Also, my character won't have breeding rights, poor guy. D:

Oh, I'm not either. I prefer using old European names and adapting them to fit a races name conventions. This is probably a bit of a fudge in many cases, but at least I know how to properly pronounce European names.
Besides, being part Irish, I do have some cultural attachment to the name N'uada.
But the exp bonus won't work after lv10, so unless the other stats are worth compared to a lv10 head piece, then they won't have more use, besides the Moogle cap being fantastic for female characters no matter the level.

A classmate of mine was trying to talk me into this game yesterday. He hasn't played a lot of MMOs but he was pretty amped up about this.
I'm wondering if I should give it a shot? I've played a bazillion MMOs, my favorites being Asheron's Call and Dark Age of Camelot. I've played WoW of course, Rift, and a bunch of F2P ones. I currently have GW2, but the game has lost its fun factor since my close group of friends are not playing it me.
Is there anything about this game that really hooks you in? In AC it was the ginormous endless world that you just kind of get tossed into. DAoC was mostly pvp for me, but the pve aspects of finding great spots to grind was great as well. What is it about this game some of you are getting hooked on?

The item level is. It is equippable at level 1.
The helmet is level 11 indeed, but only requires YOU being lv 1 to use it.
