Ikuhara eps really elevate the show.
It's weird because being older you may appreciate what the show creators were doing more, and catch onto a bunch of stuff you might not have cared about as a kid or teen.

DBZ is still kind of watchable with heavy use of fast-forward.
Or hilariously bad UK dubbing.
Vegeta talking shit or freaking out is pretty much the best part of DBZ.

I always figured DBZ and Sailor Moon were like Nintendo and Sega, you were either with one camp or the other.

Yeah, its just stuff like when people go "If Vegeta can destroy the Earth at 18,000 Power Level, then he should be able to destroy a solar system at blah blah blah" I tend to avoid strength discussions.

But he's also the one that ends up redeeming them all.
That said, Hawks Eye having Ataru Moroboshi's voice actor is kinda funny.

I still think Katherine having Sailor Moon's voice actress is the best, I can picture her settling down and becoming a fashion designer.
One of the main reasons I'll select Aoko Aozaki in Melty Blood is because of Kotono Mitsuishi.
She's been in a ton, though. During the mid-late 90's she was basically Queen of OVAs. Aya Hisakawa (Mercury) became highly prolific as well, especially in the early 2000's.

Didn't notice at the time, but I'm aware of it.
Little wonder Katherine is the only dub voice I didn't like as much as JP's. I even thought Boss' dub lived up to Wakamoto.

Man I decided to check out the old clips of My Only Love and Carry On and it's weird how right they got it while technically butchering it. Buy there's a feeling of effort there unlike with something like old Funi DBZ. Hearing the dub again like 18 years later though..fuck it's so bad.

It had an extremely limited run and retailed for $149 the day it came out. It was gone barely a month later. It's my collection centerpiece for a reason.

Never really noticed when I bought it, I think I was too deliriously happy to be watching a legitimate sub of the real show.
Early on there were rumors that some episodes got removed, then they got them back at the last second. I'm still pleased with the set.
Pioneer's of S/Super S are great too.
I got it from RightStuf for $49-$79 somewhere in that range. Like I said, I love the show, but I want some scratch for my Disney trip in December.
