Same. I consider seasons 3-6 as some of the best tv EVER written! It was an amazingly short period but it was unbelievable TV. Yet beyond the 1st 10 seasons I have not watched much of it. What I have seen has been just awful. Marge sounds fucked in some of the later seasons I've tried watching. Apu is no more (soft cock Hank Azaria trying to appease a dumb fuck sensitive idiot) and other characters now cast with other people, all because they were black characters needing a black actor! Where are all the yellow actors for the rest of the Simpsons characters??? And no, that's not an asian joke!

I remember watching the premiere back in '89.

Me too, and I remember watching the shorts on Tracey Ullman before that.

I also remember that everyone back then thought the show would last maybe a season and then be completely forgotten about.

I still throw quotes from the show around work and friends. Seasons 1 to 7 are great (and some episodes of the 8) after that is all garbage. Anyone who disagree is wrong.

I watched the first one and was incredibly dissapoiting, with characters being out of their characters and Liza being more annoying than usual. Stupid unnecessary drama.
I don't expect the sequel to be any different. Can't wait for Homer to be the point fingered again and Liza be even more annoying.

Damn then, I should have tried out for the Simpsons, it's only right. I mean at one point I had jaundice so I was literally yellow. (They discriminated against me)
