Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | August 2013 | Divekicks & Dragons

Top of the page recommendation - this month I have been mostly playing: Dragon's Crown

Say goodbye to PSO2 localization in our lifetimes.

This is actually a boost for the translation. All signs point to it being localized into English and Chinese for release in 2014.

If you look at the way Samurai & Dragons was handled (Sega's other F2P Vita title), it came out in Japan first in both digital and packaged versions then rolled out into Asia as a digital only English version. It was then translated into Chinese and patched a month or two after release.

Releasing in the West is obviously lower down in Sega's priority but this doesn't mean that it won't get translated in our lifetimes.

Who here is getting Dragon's Crown on the Vita? It might be time to start updating my PSN friend list again.
Im definitely getting it psn: mauaus let's get some co-op on...

On another note tried book of memories and really disliked it, got it on the sale a few weeks ago. Its about to get deleted

There's a Google spreadsheet on the OT. Put your name in there and check out the name list for Vita players.

I can't wait to get my hands this baby.

I was going to get Dragon's Crown on PS3 only, but a surprise tax refund gave me enough money to spring for both. Put in my pre-order today!

I am, just wish we knew the PSN price, this is ridiculous making us wait till it pops.

You are already on my friend list though so no worries.

Just confirmed, PS+ users get a day one discount on Divekick. So that's Cross-buy AND a week one $7.99 price.

Any idea what the FW adds, other than "stability fixes"?
Maybe they fixed the damned prepping download glitch.

That PS+ icon on the FFX-2 Live Area screen finally makes sense now. You can upload/download your save files rigth from the Live Area screen now for all games.

You can also play media content right from your connected devices instead of having to copy them over. So if you're at home and you want to stream a video from your PC to your Vita, you can do it without having to wait for it to copy and take up space on the memory card. I like that.

This is really neat feature. I sometimes want to watch stuff on the glorious VITA OLED and i have a Laptop so i can just connect through USB and watch it on VITA :D

Finally some new features in this new update. Hoping that they also improve the Browser.

Also holding down the PS button brings up a menu for volume, brightness, and connection settings.

Or was that there all along?

Alright so this update they gave KZ beta did something or its a placebo effect. I'm having a blast. The gripes I had with controlling and it being too slow are gone. Game runs really great and I've had 0 crashes (even before the update).

yup

Oh shoot, guess those FFX-2 screens with the icon were legit then.

Been waiting so long for this feature to exist! Downloading now.

(Now if only the video player could also support MKVs...)
