Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | August 2013 | Divekicks & Dragons

Who here is getting Dragon's Crown on the Vita? It might be time to start updating my PSN friend list again.

Don't delete me! :(

Probably going with the Knight (lol) and double-dipping, hope I don't regret it... Getting Divekick too omg wallet cries

@Jesszman, did we play KZ:M together at one point?

And wow at that new firmware update, I hope they add compatiability with WPA2 Enterprise!! :( I wanna play my Vita on campus

Of course I won't. :P

Doesn't your college have an alternative Wifi connection? We have WPA2-Enterprise for computers here too, but other devices can connect to a separate WPA2 (non-Enterprise) connection.

sadly nope :(
they used to have it... but no longer

Ugh why won't the store update. I just want to buy Rayman.

Oh well. Not like I could pull myself away from playing P4G anyway...

aww god damn it. One game would cool for me as long that i can delete a game off the card and add a new one.

Yeah, you can do that -- I have a ton of stuff that's just "purchased" on the store because it doesn't fit or I deleted it when I was finished playing it.

Games like: Super Stardust Delta, Mutant Blobs Attack, Guacamelee, Hotline Miami, etc.
You can fit a bunch. You can also fit a bunch of minis if those are your thing.

Games like: PSOne Classics, PSP, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Mortal Kombat, Blazblue, Street Fighter x Tekken, Ninja Gaiden Sigma+, etc.
You'll fit 1 or 2.

Really liking the update so far. The PS Plus icon for managing your game saves is really neat, but what I really love is the ability to stream videos right from my Mac. Even videos in 720p play seamlessly.

No more dedicated space on my memory card for videos, yay!

Does this work online? The video streaming?

Mac, lol.

You need to have content manager on the PC (or Mac I guess) and the folder you want to stream set in settings.

It plays mp4 files for sure. Not sure if anything else works.

It works pretty much the same as when transferring videos via Content Manager, except that you can stream right away and don't need to actually copy the videos to your memory card.

Of course, you will need the Content Manager Assistant app whether you are on a Mac or on Windows (and if you already have it you will need to update it).

Mac, lol.

What's so funny?

Oh dang... I wanted to wirelessly stream to my Vita... Oh well haha
You can wireless stream over to your VITA if both VITA and PC are connected to the same wireless router. Just set the folder that has the video files in the Content Manager App on Mac(If it is available for it) and make sure that the format is supported by VITA

Thanks for clarifying guys! Will try it out when I get home! For a moment, I thought I would be able to do a Livescreen of my PC/Mac (and watch Korean Variety Shows on Dailymotion)

Wonder what other hidden features are loaded in 2.60

I am definitely getting it. But I'm double dipping because a bunch of my friends are getting it on PS3. Sigh... So I will have the Vita version a week or two from now.

Just tested it myself. 1080p videos work well too!

As of now, I can't get DC. I want it, but I have too many games I just bought, plan to get, And need to finish. But tomorrow, I am going to a friends house to play it 4 player. I'm afraid of what it will do to me..

Similarly, I want DC but I never get games at launch price anymore. This would be my first in awhile... I might bite... Ahhhh must resist

Anyone have opinions on Rayman Origins? Since Legends is coming out right around the corner, is it worth it to buy Origins (PS+ sale)? I know it was posted a few pages back about 40 levels from Origins being ported to Legends.

How much of the game is that? If I get Origins now I wont get Legends on release, and I really want to support it. Everything I have seen so far makes it look so good barring any terrible vita port reviews.

TLDR: to be cheap or not to be cheap

Even though my backlog is huge now and I won't play it for while, I'll still get DC tomorrow at full price to support based-Vanillaware.

Still hoping for Odin Sphere and GKH ports guys!

The Vita port for Origins is excellent. I actually played the PS3 demo and disliked it, but the Vita version let me get into it better and I blasted through the whole thing. Worth it at full price, worth it at sale price.

I've wanted it for awhile (hoped it was coming to PS+), I just want to know how much of it is going to wind up in Legends. I cannot figure out with a quick google search what 40 levels equates to.

And my biggest problem is June ---> October is a crazy time for games that I want. If I get Origins at the sale price I will wait on Legends. If most of Origins winds up in Legends I will just buy Legends day 1.

EDIT: Heading to bed but I will check back in the morning. Thanks for the info.

Seriously I'm mad about another PSP fighting game on +. I don't like to complain about PS+ but seeing another really just ticket me off. We've gotten what 5 or 6 portable fighting games in like 4 months?

The description for Origins says this:

"60+ Levels of Platforming Madness: Explore a massive world with over 100 characters & 12 unique worlds designed for all ages and playing styles."

So I guess that means roughly 60% of the Origins levels will be available on Legends? Sorry, I was too lazy to find out the exact number of levels in Origins :P

Great update.

Seems like the OS is a bit snappier after the update. I don't notice much of a bubble upgrade. Are my eyes just old and foggy? Or is it some inside joke?

There is now AA, but the jaggies were pretty small and not really noticeable beforehand if you weren't looking for it. So good for you actually if you haven't noticed a difference.

Ehh the issue is maybe a little overblown but it did feel really lazy to have a jaggy UI, and the shimmering did look bad. So it's really nice to see it so smooth looking now.

I'm up for some PSN friends. Most of my friends went Xbox this gen so my Vita is pretty bare.

Add me if you want: Dupy.

White Album 2 and Stein's Gate as well, apparently. My poor heart can't take all of these announcements.

Not super surprised by the Steins;Gate announcement, since the original was already released on the Vita. I'd dig it if it got a western release for the Vita versions, but alas we're only getting the original on PC for now. :C
