The AV Club review sums it up perfectly:

So when he realizes Leaves Of Grass is missing, connects the dots to Hank’s discomfort, and confirms his suspicions by finding a tracking device on his Dodge Challenger, it’s both terrible and wonderful. Terrible: His secret is out. Wonderful: He has a project. And he feels fully up to the task, all but sneering at Hank for his clumsy use of the same tracking device the two of them planted on Fring’s car. “If you don’t know who I am, maybe your best course of action is to tread lightly,” he warns a shaken, awestruck Hank. Making meth was never what Heisenberg was all about. Having an enemy to crush, whether it be in business or in the struggle to survive—that’s the essence of Walt’s alter ego. And he seems to grow a foot taller when he’s able to set that side of himself free.

A couple months ago, I accidentally saw a picture from this season, and I was worried that I had spoiled something big, like the finale, and have been kicking myself ever since. Turns out it was the first scene of the first episode. Boarded up White house.

I'm really glad they had their confrontation within one episode. Most (all?) of the preview material for this season have only been scenes from this episode.

We're in for a wild ride, folks.

What the hell is this show? Are they really giving us a "Breaking Bad beta" for watching some of this horrid show?

AMC should just go off air for a week after that. Holy balls that was intense. I'm gonna have to just do push ups now until next week. I don't know how else to react.

I had chills from the moment Walt stopped and turned around until the credits. Cancer man has nothing to lose. Walt is more dangerous now than ever. Hank is done.

I was a little surprised Walt didn't bring up the idea that Hank might take himself down too if he outs Walt.

"If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly."

Hank may have spent a week revisiting the case, but he's only just beginning to understand who he's messing with.

Didn't they shoot all 16 episodes at once? If so, the quality should be as consistent as last season. PEACE.

No, they didn't. It was broken up.

i still have the chills right now holy shit

i didn't think hank would react so explosively

i think he'd be more of a confused mess that doesn't know what to do, i thought he'd consider the health of the family but he actually is very blunt with his intent

motherfucker don't give a fuck, he's putting the law before the health of his family which i personally think is a scummy trait, but it isn't really unexpected as the signs have always been present

walt hasn't brought up his medical expenses either

i can already see the shitstorm:

So was that line up there with Walt's "Danger..." and "Goddamn right..."?

"If you don’t know who I am, maybe your best course of action is to tread lightly,”

That last scene reminded me of the Willem Defoe scenes from American Psycho, where they filmed it one way with Defoe being accusatory and one way with him completely oblivious. Like I felt Walt was both admitting and not admitting at different points.

Great scene though. I also couldn't believe this went down already. When he clicked the garage door closed I was like WHAAAAAAA.

Wow, what a way to start the final 8. Really impressed that they didn't drag out the confrontation until an episode or two in. The cards are pretty much on the table, and now we get to see how the characters react.

The medical expenses he was largely responsible for in the first place?

Walt dying of cancer is unlikely since he isn't dead during the flashforwards, right?
He's gonna recover from cancer and everyone he knows will be dead, so then he starts smoking meth

bookmark it and gamble it, I'm taking 5:1 odds

Does Hank even really have a case other than the book? Walt doesn't make meth anymore. Unless he can get someone to flip, lots of the evidence has been destroyed.
