OH MY WORD
Holy shit. That could have been the season finale of any other show. Also i laughed when the people watching it with me who usually hate skyler were cheering for her when she told lydia off.
- Onion A|V Club's For Our Consideration Feature: The case against Breaking Bad
I don't think the broader part of the article is all that off. As Tom Scharpling said some time ago, Breaking Bad has more in common with Sons of Anarchy than Sopranos/Wire. Breaking Bad has a vein of pulp-y, ridiculous trash that runs through it, and tends to bring it down a notch . That stuff is kind of a crowd-pleaser, but is undeniably kinda stupid.
Do you guys have any idea where I could watch last night's episode online? I completely missed because of such a long day -_-

While I think Tom and Mike are right (or were until last night's episode), the article's assessment that it lacks humanism is so far off, it might as well be living behind the Lady Foot Locker in Newbridge Commons.
Yes, they're having technical difficulties, but it should be up sometime soon.
In your mind, does it lose points for the pulpy content or the execution thereof? Curious what your take is on this.I don't think the broader part of the article is all that off. Sure, but it was still hidden on top of his toilet now. The way the scene played out was completely intuition it was set up for Cancer vomiting not book reading. He connected Hank being "sick" with the unexpected poop and checked to see if the book was gone. I'm just not convened it was a completely natural connection. I guess you could write it off as Hank has a horrible poker face. I don't know. It's not that big of a deal tbh.
This should be fun tonight:

I'm way late on this but what? Walt simply saw the book was missing and then after ruling out all other possibilities, thought it was hank who took it. He then finds a damn tracker on his car. Not hard to connect the dots from there.
i think this has some valid points tbh
especially wrt to skyler
edit: oops >.>
Do you even have to ask?
Netflix has it right here if you are in the UK or Republic of Ireland.
They typically do it just for premiere episodes.AMC put the episode up on their site for free to watch. Is this a new thing or have they always done this?

Spoiler Alert: @BreakingBad_AMC final season begins with a skateboarding scene, as all epic series should.
lololol
I detest her, but that right there, was cool. I was with her all the way.

What do you like? The only pulp stuff in BB that I thought was too much was Gus fixing his tie. That's still incredibly dumb to me and not cool/interesting. Sure there are other moments that aren't realistic but nothing too extreme.
I don't like the stoner characters, maybe I'm in the minority, I was just annoyed that they were wasting precious screen time on some comedic bs.
I also still don't like Skylar and never will.
That Star Trek talk was boss, yo.
Like seriously, the whole teleporting and making a new copy bit? Have people actually thought that cause as a mild Star Trek fan I was kind of amazed at that theory
