2013 High-Res PC Screenshot Thread of Let the JPEG Die Already

Leaving the 70's :(

Let's just say that Dark Souls prepared me for getting my ass handed to me. I'm going into Misery 2.0 totally blind, having played only an hour's worth of SoC, and that's pretty much all the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience I ever had. It's pretty fun that I can't even read any of the dialogs or item descriptions using this resolution either. If anyone knows a simple workaround to enlarge all the fonts in this game, I'd be glad to hear it.

And Wanny, some incredible shots there in your NV setup.

PhilipGT, please tell me (even if I already asked) WHICH version of the FO3 ENB you are using. Your shots are awesome.
Thanks Midhras (and also One3rd... great CoJ shots btw) :)
Right now I'm using your .190 WIP.

I've started modding New Vegas recently too, but it's giving me a headache trying to get some mods to play nice.

I set it all the way to the left. Something like 110? I don't remember.
I usually use 90/95 but not being able fully to se the hands/weapons was bugging me so much.

I usually go somewhere in the 90 range as well, I just never felt compelled to change it on Dishonored. I'll give it a shot when I play again tonight.

Thanks.
There's a reason you're mainly seeing shots with static buildings and landscapes from me though. As soon as I'm near an enemy, chances are I'll end up dead. But I can take it. The atmosphere is fantastic, really (although I can't full well compare with an unmodded version of course).
Soon I'll try to see if there's some sort of timestop besides that demo recorder cam.

Now some low res Skyrim stuff. I didn't do much in the way of downsampling as I'm tweaking and I need my frames or I'll go mad.

Next gen is already here :P

It may be true close up, but I think most Bethesda games with ENB still looks like crap. Draw distance is still a problem with the Gamebryo engine and hope it gets better in next gen games. And no, DOF is not a good way to mask the horrible draw distance.

If Second Son is anything to go by... it won't. Though then again, Infamous SS doesn't have AF either.

(Admittedly not much going on graphically on this one, but there's an issue of the Rivellon Times after every turn in Dragon Commander, reflecting your deeds and decisions, and they are always hilarious)

Yeah this shot really came together. Is this with soolie's clouds?

Yeah, it is. I'm vomiting out a constant stream of briny curses because of it. It's causing me to have to do a massive re-write of almost everything just to make the clouds and soolie's particle clouds match up. It can look horrible, but when it looks good, it looks pretty damn sweet. Also it makes Skyrim feel embiggened, now that I can't see the other side of the map.

Edit: Sorry for the framerate counter in the first picture, forgot to turn it off. Rockstar's first next gen title is going to blow minds. I wonder if GTAV will be able to match Max Payne 3's general detail given the open world nature.

First person Payne!

Yeah, I had the same experience, though with less effort to make it play nice with ENB. When it works, its fantastic and adds a great deal to the atmosphere and feeling, and really makes shots beautiful, but I found it to be unfortunately buggy (beyond ENB friendliness).

I would absolutely love to see a proper volumetric cloud mod. Also, as you're quite the ENB pro, why is motion blur not possible with it? Per-object MB would be excellent in skyrim.
