Dragon's Crown is a delightful beat 'em up buffet.
PS+ Members, give Wipeout a try. It's actually pretty fun.

The Walking Dead port established that Vita will get Season 2. I say that's a good investment.

I don't see how that makes up for it being a late port, especially if the port turns out horrible. But Telltale's assurance on Season 2 pretty much confirms that Sony's paying for this port.

Beat the "story" levels of sound shapes: "sweet this was awesome, specially the last album" *unlock death mode:* "ooooohhh trophy time." LOL lets not make the little orbs static, lets make them random instead. Cause fuck you thats why. FUCK, why have a challenge mode that has randomness involved. It's more based on luck then skill. I'm so salty at sound shapes right now. Also fuck when your trying to go around edges, you go slow as can be!

I am disappointed as well with the sales numbers but not surprised. Software sells systems and I know the software is coming this fall. I'm also interested in playing PS4 games via remote play and I'm sure others as well. Will it help sell systems? Probably not but with a PS4/Vita bundle, maybe. A price cut is also expected as I can't see the system going another fall/winter without it. There is still plenty of business to be had for the platform.

There's no point in dropping the price when the software isn't there, and the software really isn't there for North America. Sales will just go back to their usual abysmal self after a temporary bump.

hmm should I get..

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale PS3
Sly: Thieves in Time PS3
LBP Karting PS3

They are all 15USD each at BestBuy right now...
hoping to activate the Cross-Buy for the first two titles...
wondering when will LBP: Karting get added to PS+

Sly: Thieves in Time is the obvious choice for me in this case. I got it when it released to support the studios Sanzaruu Games (Sly 5 rumored for PS4 and PS Vita apparently?), priced at 40$ and with cross-buy, got ps3 and vita version. It was worth it then and worth it more now. 15$ for this game is a steal. It is easily the second best game in the franchise if not the best one. :P

The fact there's been pretty much ZERO footage of the damn thing should make one concerned. Especially because the company has a history of putting out subpar mobile ports.

Gameplay intact? Sure

General performance? ...uh, yeah about that....

After discovering the ragdoll cheat for Shinobido 2, I've been having a lot of fun replaying it.
Why use boring grappling hooks when you can be RAGDOLL BATMAN; gliding impossibly far distances to dispense ninja justice upon unsuspecting guards?

Yeah, I remember it was fun, I also liked the cheat for infinite items, was very funny being around the map spamming bombs and scrolls.

If I was into fighting games, I would get Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 for 10$.

So now we're complaining about getting games? Especially ones that have an extremely good chance to sell well AND boost the install base of the machine, especially in Japan? Cool

Do we have any idea on WW sales? We know Vita does about 17k weekly in Japan.

We haven't got a Persona 3 port. Simply correcting you, and airing my opinion isn't a complaint either. Honestly, I'd question the selling ability of yet another Persona 3 release. As I said earlier, it would be the fourth major release of that game in under 10 years.

As for the sales question we typically only get Japanese ones we leaks for US figures.

as I said earlier, it would be the fourth major release of that game in under 10 years.

that would still be more spaced out than the street fighter 4 releases :P

Logically though... another release wouldn't be a horrible idea, just combine the ps2 version with the new content of the psp version and make a proper complete version....

have that vita version release in 2014....
in 2015 port the vita versions of p3 and p4 to either the ps4 (if it's sell well) or the ps3 in an hd collection for the two to hype up people for persona 5 which you announced.
in 2016 release persona 5....

it's something I could easily see the current atlus do.

According to some posts and tweets in the Gamescom PS4 focused thread, Eurogamer.it leaked (and then removed) an article on a proper Velocity sequel for PS4/Vita.

Welp, I guess it's official that Sony no longer believes in Vita. They signed a deal with FuturLab to make Vita games, and now PS4 is there.

I recently bought a Vita and is in the process of finishing up Persona 4 on it. I'm really impressed with the system so far but I can't decide which game to get next. Anyone have any suggestions? Preferably an RPG.
Is Trails in the Sky good? Does it hold up? I'm in the EU store so it's a bit pricy for a PSP game.

Any other Vita games I should play?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Woah, vitafolks, check this out: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=654687

A crazy rumor o_o

I don't get how people can play with a 6" screen console. I have try a WiiU in the FNAC and found it pretty uncomfortable. IMO 5" is the perfect screen size. And being bigger could make games look worse, specially if the new model doesn't use and OLED. But well, I'm a weird guy who finds unbearable the 3D in the 3DS lol.

The important leak there is the fact that there are a new wave of exclusive titles along the redesign. Redesign + Games should mean better sales. And it means more games. And hopefully more Japanese games localized.
____

I'm planning of playing every Ys game in chronological order starting for 1&2 (10 euros in the Store) and 3 (10 bucks too). After that I will play Celceta, 6 in my homebrewed PSP and 7 from the Store. The fifth is only on the SNES, for what i've seen. I'm missing something?

And, when did Celceta release? It doesn't have DLCs so I will probably import the NA ver.

Trails in the Sky is pretty good. I don't like it as much as a lot of people do, but it's still pretty good.

My defacto recommendation is Ys: The Oath in Felghana. One of my favorite games of all time. It's a PSP game, it plays great and looks great on Vita.

Muramasa Rebirth is also a pretty good game. Looks fantastic. It's not quite an rpg - more of an action game - but it has leveling up, lots of equipment and all that jazz.

TiTS is very good. It's a slow burn, but pays off with likeable characters and a fun, lighthearted adventure

Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Trials in the Sky are amazing, check them out.
.

Thanks guys! I think I'll start with YS: The Oath in Felghana and play Trails in the Sky at a later date. Man, it's dangerously easy buying games on this thing!

Do you like srpgs? Disgaea 3 is pretty good and on sale now I think.

Soooooo... I bought NFS Most Wanted for Vita.

Maybe I am such a incompetent buffoon in terms of graphic whoring, but my, I am actually rather surprised in a nice way by the graphics. Niiiice. (Guess I am very easily pleased, hahaha)

One thing's really weird though. When the game prompts me to create an Origin account, it turns out someone already taken out the name LaughingBanana. WTF? I need to settle with LaughingBananas in the end.

WTF? How could anyone possibly already use the name LaughingBanana? So goddamn weird.

I'm waiting for a sub $10 sale on that as well as Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed

Crazy enough to be bullshit. I'm all for redesigns and all but doubling RAM and making the screen bigger doesn't make much sense.

TitS is a really likable game, out of all PSP JRPGs, it's the one I would recommend more often.

I can recommend Gravity Rush, you can call it an action RPG, I guess. It has issues but it's a very fun game. Atelier Totori Plus is also something you can try, it draws some parallels with P4G, in terms of time management and social link like character interaction/development. If you don't mind it being cutesy and plot light then give it a whirl.

I don't think it has any DLC, I'll be importing it when it comes out. Also, probably best to play it like 1->2->Oath->7->Celceta, because storywise they are all independant but game system wise, each game improves on the last, so going Celceta -> 7 might be weird.

If you don't mind playing on PC get Origins, which is a prequel to 1.

A sub 10 bucks seems unlikely, since it's EA, and even if it happens, it'll gonna be a long while.

Anyways, the sense of speed in this game is insane! I don't like that I can't change cars on the fly though, except to find a parked car with a logo on top of them somewhere when I roam? There is no garage or stuff like that?

Anyone already playing it for a while can give me pointers?

It's been a while since I've played it, but there is a way to switch cars any time you like from a menu. Once you pick the car, it loads to wherever it was last parked.

But yeah, Most Wanted on Vita is a pretty great port! I put quite a few hours into it. Just a shame its resolution is so low, the game looks reeeaaally blurry at times.

I'll probably not get a PS4 at launch, but I should be able to start stocking up on PS+ games anyway, right?

EDIT: whoops, this is the Vita thread, sorry for OT post.

Strange about the new model. I wouldn't want screen any bigger, but meh. Hopefully it sells.

As for price cut, what are your predictions?

I don't see how that makes up for it being a late port, especially if the port turns out horrible. But Telltale's assurance on Season 2 pretty much confirms that Sony's paying for this port.

It makes up for it being a late port because having Telltale's Walking Dead season 2 confirmed already is a good thing. If Sony paying for this port made that happen I'm all for it.

And we have footage. The game was playable at E3

Alright I'm tempted. I wasn't really playing PS3 anymore so it was useless, but I've been playing Vita a lot (best handheld I ever owned). I'm also getting in the PS4 wagon.

Very tempting.

get it now, you won't regret (: the PS+ Instant Game Collection grows in size each month, so the earlier you subscribe the better! and don't miss out on the current Jap Dev Vita sale!

RE: redesign rumor.

Gah. I am very close to pulling the trigger. Was just waiting for pricing news on Tuesday and thought I might jump on that $199 Target deal either way. But now I want to keep waiting. There's three things to wait for even after Gamescam as I see it now.

-Resign news out of TGS
-Remote play impressions post PS4 launch
-Black Friday deals and bundles

You are taking about new Vita hardware sales right? In addition to KZ:M, Tearaway, and even Batman: Black Gate .. you still have 3 full games (Wipeout, Gravity Rush, and Uncharted:GA) with the PS+ sub. Existing software is there. Quality software one can purchase with a $200 Vita. Slash the price of the memory cards and it will sell.

That was such an awesome deal.

I was completely ignorant to the vita prior to that. When it blew up on gaf, I jumped in and haven't looked back. Good times.
