I'm not surprised. I'm about to hit 60 hours and I'm in November of my first playthrough. I haven't played anything other than Minecraft since I bought the game.

So with Spelunky coming I was looking at the achievements for the game on my Steam account.
The achievements look semi impossible!! I'm a complete noob at the game and have only played it around 10 times so far, but how are you supposed to do some of those things?
Complete the game in 8 minutes with no shortcuts... what the?
I'm kind of put off buying the game if the trophies are that hard, I prefer to have as many complete games on my account as possible.

I got mine for 60 six months ago or whenever it was and that was by far the best price I've seen.

I literally set my modest meter to 0% for E3. I didn't over rationalize... I didn't cook up some fantastic surprise in my head...
I literally just booted up the Sony stream and let it ride...
The only thing I expected was that they would at least announce things for Vita...
And I got BURNED. E3 2013 sucked so bad for a Vita fan.. besides seeing gameplay on the show floor of upcoming titles
So shitty old ass indie game ports no one cares about. Typical Shahid! Where is his faint inducing announcement he has been championing for years and which should already have been announced at E3 as he said so many times?
All we get is this indie crap and phone quality games.
Good times to be indie with Sony paying for all that crappy ports instead of funding AAA games. Surely all the ressources are cut from their AAA projects for indie games.

I like having games where I feel like I'm completing as much of the content as possible. Having a game sitting on my account at 25% or so completion because of stupidly hard trophies just annoys me alright, sorry if that's a crime.
As I already stated I've bought the game already on Steam, it's not as though I'm not supporting the game at all!

Not buying a fantastic game because the achievements are actually challenging "achievements" is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
I'm ok with them if they're actually achievable...
I'm basically asking if people can actually achieve these goals realistically or are they as difficult as they sound? They read as though you need to be an absolute speed running expert at the game?
And I will state it for the third time if it helps get it into your brains, I BOUGHT THE GAME ALREADY ON STEAM.

Yeah... achievement difficulty shouldn't sway me -- I get trophies/achievements and even hunting -- I have like 75 platinums or more.
However, saying "I won't buy DMC4" or "DMC HD Collection" because there are some near impossible achievements/trophies is ridiculous to me.
To each their own though.
I play it on Steam....
I use trophies as a way of encouraging myself to play as much of my games content as possible.
Previously on old accounts like my 360 I jumped from game to game starting them and never finishing anything, I ended up with titles everywhere that I'd only just cracked and never completed.
Trophies on my PS3/Vita account help me focus on a couple of games at a time and not give up on games too quickly.

You're okay with the achievements being impossible on Steam but not okay with the same set on PS3/Vita?
Read my edit above, I use trophies on my PS3/Vita account as a way to tackle my backlog without jumping around from game to game.
On Steam that ship sailed long long ago, I've got hundreds of games that I've barely played so I just use it as a dumping ground for titles whenever I feel like a muck around.
Anyway it would be nice if somebody actually answered my question as to whether the Spelunky trophies are achievable or not, or do you need to be some speedrunning expert?
