Anyone know how that compares to previous hardware?
wonder how that compares to Xbone.
1 million doesn't sound a lot really but it must be if they mention it.
in addition to the 500,000 Wii U consoles claimed since opening up pre-orders back in September.
That one is about games, not consoles.
How does that compare to previous gens?
1 million already 3 months away from launch? Sounds like a lot to me.That's honestly pretty low, especially considering I'm accounting for two of them (one in canada and one in europe since I have no idea where i'll be living in a couple of months).

I'd guess its higher based soley on how preorder focused everything is now compared to then. How does that compare to previous gens?
Dude, it has the highest pre-order number of any games console EVER!1 million worldwide doesn't seem like the run away hit Gaf makes it out to be. X1 must be doing even worse.

You're not impressed with 1 million preorders? What are you impressed by?
I know they said that in the UK but have they issued a similar statement to the US?Yeah, but Sony says to the retailers that any pre-order right now won't guarantee a launch console.
Yeah, that doesn't sound impressive at all.
Did you read this?
That article is about game pre-orders really. And in the article it says only 500,000 WiiUs have been pre-ordered.
Reading is fun!

The Wii U had a very strong launch. It's what happened shortly afterwards that's the problem. Be wary.Out of curiosity...
Has this beat the Wii U already in terms of pre-orders?
I thought it would beat Wii U in terms of pre orders, just wondering if we know it already has or not...
I'm hoping this will teach Nintendo a lesson though.
I dont think the Wii U has anywhere near this hype in the months leading to launch.
I think they're getting out of touch with gamers.
