Killzone Shadowfall MP Screenshots (Sexy)

It looks stunning.

Anyone else just sorta quickly glance at the screenshots without looking too long so the first time you play them you are more impressed? Or am I crazy.

24 player count is disappointing. I was hoping for at least they bump it back to 32 like KZ2. I bet PS4 and this new engine could easily handle it. Also 32 players would have given some bigger maps too. Hopefully map design is a lot tighter and better than KZ3 and more like KZ2.

Meh.

32 player clusterfucks were a huge annoying part of Killzone...I guess some liked it, I personally didn't. Thought 16-20 was the sweet spot for most maps.

I prefer more intimate multiplayer games than just sheer scale...stuff like BF4's 64 player count or MAG doesn't do much for me. Games lose their competitive edge with more players.

Well here is thing you can always scale down from higher player count but not vice versa. So better to design with higher player count and let it scale down to lower count with smaller maps. Anyways, I guess it is what it is.

24 is actually a pretty great number. 32 players was a bit of a mess in Killzone 2 and 24 player games were actually pretty fantastic.

I think being able to select between 4 and 24 is a wonderful decision on the part of Guerrilla and I'm glad they didn't just jack up the player count for the sake of it.

With my PS3 I bought Killzone 2. With my PS4 I'll buy Killzone 4.

32 players was mainly a clusterfuck because of GG's idiotic decision to let the players throw Spawn Grenades on the fucking objective.

Nah, the clusterfucks happened everywhere, not just on the objective areas. And of course the rocket spammers that spawned and immediately chunked a rocket before dying.

Only a few maps did 32 players work out OK, but even then...24 tops seems like a more ideal figure and well balanced for most maps.

I was never impressed with Killzone's image quality on PS3 but just like inFamous, I'm surprised at the quality of the PS4 version. I guess PS3 ram really did hampered a lot of the internal developers ability to flex their polygon/texture muscles.

Get it man. GAF clan should be strong, and with free DLC MP will have strong legs.

I'm finally going to be able to play with you guys, and since there's a headset included, MP will be awesome to play.

So nice to actually clearly see the opposing enemies in those shots. Can't wait for the glorious next-gen to bury the bad memories of last gen.

Well then must have missed the part where I said "...to my eyes" clearly indicating it was my personal opinion.

If you're gonna try to insult someone, at least double check before you post it.
I didn't mean to insult you at all, I'm sorry it could be interpreted that way. There are honestly a lot of people on GAF for whom English is a second language, who might not get the connotations of what they're saying. No disrespect was meant (indeed, people who speak two or more languages have a leg up on me).

As for what you said, my entire point was that your "I don't assume" implies a level of factual certainty that doesn't match "in my eyes". I was trying to explain that you were inadvertently sending mixed messages, and that's why you got reactions you didn't expect.

See I don't get this, don't join the 32p matches if you don't like them. It's almost like people hate options.

I was all about the 32 player maps :D But don't get me wrong, you won't here me kicking and screaming about 24 lol. I guess I just like full games, and I do agree that sliding it down a notch might make it more skill based lol.

Man I loved spawning from a spawn grenade and you just come out swinging :) Bouncing your handgun into peoples heads. Man good times.

Definitely upgrade from last showing, especially in texture department. I like particle lighting and those reflectors lights moving through the levels, it looks neat.

Still, Anisotropic filtering is still quite low in some shots, no per object motion blur [wtf GG, you had it in KZ 2 ... on ps3], and characters dynamic shadows still have too aggressive lod, in trailer they disappeared in like 10 meters.
IQ and geometry isnt amazing either, they should use SMAA T2x, but art is really good.

Holy shit this looks good. Frothing at the mouth over here.

I have no idea what happened with their motoinblur... but the object variation is disabled in these shots. Maybe they disable it for screens? It is apparent in the reveal video though.

The angle of the weapons in first person is bothering me! :(

Have no idea why they changed this. Game looks like goldeneye with its weapon positioning now.

I dont see it in video, i've checked yesterday.

For example, look at those barrels on minigun, they should be blurred, because of speed its firing, but they arent when You stop video frame.
