Killzone Shadowfall MP Screenshots (Sexy)

All 4 spawn grenades in the S&D room in Radec Academy; 32 people constantly spawning every few seconds; grenades, C4, and rockets exploding everywhere -- and some guy still manages to somehow arm the objective amidst all of that.

Oh man, such good memories. I still have KZ2, I think I am going to play some this weekend. Hopefully there is still enough people playing.

That's not lag, that is how they want it to play. You want every game to play like cod?

I don't like COD... why does everyone say that just because people hated the horrid input lag? That's not what bothered me either, it was the bizarre soft recoil, don't know how to explain it. I love the recoil in CS, but hated it in KZ. When I aim through the scope it felt to strange, I guess I just chalk that to the weighty feeling, but not sure.

I played a week ago. It frustrates me that Radec Academy is always played.

I really want to play Salamun Market, or Visari's Hammer.

But more than anything, I want to play the DLC. So disappointed that it gets no love.

You're European right? You guys have double the servers we in NA do.

Call me crazy but I'm just not blown away by KZ Shadowfall.

There are games that look better on current gen consoles IMO and Infamous Second Son is the best I've seen from PS4.

It doesn't look bad. It's a good looking game. I'm just not "zommmmmmmmmmg dem graphikkkkkzzzzz"

BTW I played Crysis 3 on my 7970 equipped rig at 30 FPS. I maxed out the visuals and locked fps to 30 FPS. Without 30 FPS, the frame rate was all over the place...and it was annoying

From my experience locking it at 35 is better than on 30, kinda smoother and more responsive.

They can distinguish the gameplay from COD in other areas. Control responsiveness is essential to me. It's the one thing for which I'm waiting a confirmation before I decide whether to give Shadow Fall a chance. If it's the same as it was in KZ2, I'm never buying this game, personally. A pity, because I want to try it out; it does look interesting so far. But again, control responsiveness is absolutely essential to me.

I agree, I kind of hate that it's so easy to run and gun and point and shoot in CoD. I like that guns take time to shoot in KZ, and they arent just stop and pop. Guns just aren't that easy to shoot and aim in real life, even for trained soldiers.

I guess you could say that this is a future setting and by that time we would have aiming and recoil compensating technology to offset all that but I like a weighty, slow shooter on consoles. If i want fast twitch, I'll go play some shit like Tribes.

30 FPS is good if you are playing on a HDTV. It doesn't look good up close on a monitor. Seriously though, hooking up my PC to my HDTV is the best thing EVER. Sitting back on the comfy couch eliminates jaggies and low res shadow problems. The games look like CG now.

I can't wait for PS4!

I am American, but I did not know that EU has double the servers as us. Sort of disappointing.

I agree, the DLC was amazing, especially the levels with the flamethrower and arc gun, forgot their names off hand.

Here is what killed Killzone

Cod twitchy gaming got huge

BF came to consoles to compete

Now every fps gamer wants the game to be like those games

wow, such graphics

but the ps4 is not suppose to be able to put out this quality because the gpu isn't a fucking titan..... it'z teh low in pee cee

The PS4' hardware is very low on the totem pole in regards to high end tech, but like with any console generation its always been the software that leads the way in what's achievable graphically, this is quite evident when you look at the PS3/360 hardware and see the games both consoles were able to produce. I have no doubts in a few years we'll see games on the PS4 that absolutely blow Crysis 3 and KZ:S out of the water thanks to better optimization and advancements in software.

I didnt have luck putting Crysis 3 on full screen on my HDTV. It would probably work if i treated it as first monitor though.

Still I cant play games, ive already played on PC, because of my TV's input lag ;p I was fine with PS3 while sixaxis though.

It's really not hard to understand, I don't know why this has always been a point of contention, but because the developers work with and develop for specific hardware and don't have to worry about all the different types out there, they can pull more out of that specific machine. Comparing consoles to pc is apples to oranges.

edit-

Yeah. And wasn't there some article about inputlag in KZ:SF too? something about the rendering pipeline being too long and too complex.

There was, which is why I'm interested to hear how it is in this game.

Are you crazy? Shu was so damn good his mere presence made the enemy freeze up and lose the will to fight. He has the aura of a winner, that's more valuable than the ability to actually shoot people standing still in front of you. ;)

I especially laughed when the Helghast in front of him stopped and turned his back, so Shu meleed him... and then meleed the air a few more times for good measure lol.

Hah! I can imagine Sony PR people telling the people who are playing with him for the live demo:

"You see that guy? That's Shu. You will shoot at him just enough to make it look realistic. But if you kill him, you will be fired. Understand? Also if he's running at you with a knife, you will bend over and accept your fate. Capiche?"

I don`t like so much this new direction they are going. I hate that fucking owl and hate that FarCry3 like wallhack. It is handholding next level.
At this current state it doesn`t look super impressive either. It looks good, and sometimes even great (city level). But this is Guerilla Games, the makers of Killzone 2 which is in top 5 best looking ps3 games. I expected Killzone 4 to look much better.
Will see how much difference can few more months make. Being launch game is not easy i guess.

lol ign lol

Guerrilla Games is crafting what, to me, is most reminiscent of what a game would look like if Killzone collided with something more akin to Crysis. No, Shadow Fall doesn’t take place on a single wide open map that can be explored at will, but it does take place on a series of large, non-linear maps that encourage you – and outright require you – to tackle concurrent objectives in any order of your choosing. As a result, Shadow Fall is immediately deeper and more tactical than any of the core Killzone titles that came before it.

I was immediately intrigued when I started playing. There was nothing forced about Shadow Fall’s approach; it was thoughtful and calculated. One of the developers from Guerrilla noted to me that Shadow Fall, unlike the Killzone trilogy on PS2 and PS3, is about using your brain in addition to your brawn. And it didn’t take long for me to learn exactly what he was talking about....

Immediately, Shadow Fall felt unlike any Killzone game that came before it, not only because of its non-linear mission structure and wide-open, fully explorable maps, but because it’s also a technically deeper experience from a gameplay perspective. This isn’t just a shooter anymore; it’s far more complex, so much so that I handed the DualShock 4 over to a guy from Guerrilla after being ruthlessly massacred several times so I could at least see the proper experience.

What was so difficult? Well, there’s a lot to keep track of if you don’t have the luxury of a tutorial. You have your two weapons, which can be switched between via the triangle button, but you also have control of an all-new device called OWL. OWL, as it quickly became clear, is absolutely essential in Shadow Fall, and if you don’t know how to use it effectively – which I didn’t -- you’ll quickly be victimized by the game’s cunning and rather smart enemy AI.

Using OWL gives you a much-needed break in an otherwise brutally difficult game. Shadow Fall was set on normal difficulty, and for someone like me that beat Killzone 3 on hard, it was certainly a step up in that respect.
It even claimed the digital life of the developer playing on several occasions

Seems like a handholding game for babby dummies.

Wouldn't really make a difference in the end. Better is a subjective word. It's my opinion that there are some current gen games that look better.

If we're debating what is technically superior, then we're talking about things that can proven and that's a completely different conversation.

I'll give you one example of looks better and more appealing to my eyes and this is an easy one

Rayman Origins is a stunning game(or Legends take your pick)

i went from a samsung LED\LCD tv to a Panasonic plasma and the difference in plasma's response made it feel like i jumped to 60fps when playing battlefield. the display also makes a huge difference. 30 fps on a good plasma is almost as good as 60 fps on an LCD tv. 60fps on a plasma, well thats as good as it gets in the home theater world.

That's some poor judgement there. Unless you mean artisticly.
But that would be useless.

i mean in between this and infamous

those are some pretty decent launch titles

most launches blow anyways with a few exceptions

I would like NOT to be forced to use it because game is too difficult. Maybe IGN guy is just not that good at all.

The devs were struggling too. What's the point of complaining about a feature if it all comes together well? The X-Ray vision has drawbacks too, keep it on too long and it alerts all the enemies you're viewing to your presence. Basically, the game seems like a fusion of Call of Duty for the open battle segments and Far Cry 3/Perfect Dark for the sections where you're traversing areas alone. That sounds awesome to me.

I didn`t know about that, it is enough to use it for a second. It would be like cheating already no? I think these kind of "features" are bad for games. Anyway, i will stay away with my negativity until game launches. Wait and see.

What a terrible argument. Let us consider your original statement:
" It doesn't look bad. It's a good looking game. I'm just not "zommmmmmmmmmg dem graphikkkkkzzzzz"

Yep, you were clearly talking about the technical aspect of the game. You've simply deflected the issue and you really have no ground to stand on.

I'm pretty sure that's what most people are talking about when they say KZ looks good.

Although Guerilla does have great artists, so some people might also mean it in the subjective sense, but I don't see people basing their arguments on that.

Hmmm. It sure sounded like you were couching it as a technical thing. Not merely aesthetics. Nice bait & switch, well played.

Come on son, this is the Wii arguments all over again. Wind Waker looks better than Rime after all.
