PSA: PS4 and XB1 playable at FanExpo Toronto right now

I'm an exhibitor and just left my booth to wander the floor. Surprised to see the Sony and MS booths with both consoles playable!

XB1 - Killer Instinct, Forza and Ryse playable.
PS4 - Knack, DriveClub and AC4 playable.

I'm gonna hit them in the AM tomorrow before the public's admitted. Lines are too long right now.

More info edited in from my second post:

Ubi has playable Just Dance 2014, SC:Blacklist, AC4 (running on a PC build with PS4 controller - the booth dude was highly specific about this, lol) and Rayman Legends. No playable Watch Dogs. :(

No Nintendo booth in sight. :(

Unsure whether the AC4 at the Sony booth is the actual PS4 build

Disney Infinity playable at its own booth

Beyond, GT6 also playable on PS3 at Sony booth

Are they giving away PS+ 1-month sub codes again? I racked up a ton last year, and I'm hoping to get more this year. lol

Killer Instinct looks current gen and jaggy as fuck. No favors for it given that it's on a 60" LED that you have to view at point blank range. Haha.

What a pleasant surprise. Heading down tomorrow with a few friends. Can't wait to try them all out! I'm sure the lines will be f'n ridiculous.
 
Bah I Searched and searched to see Sony and ms were even going to be there. Could only find that ubisoft and ebgames were to have booths. Decided not to go. Now I wish I was going. Going to Cne Sunday instead.

They already are and we're still in the 'preview' period officially (2-4pm Thurs). Still quiet on the floor relatively speaking
 
Is the playable AC4 demo multiplayer only? We weren't allowed to play single-player during SDCC, it was only limited to watching an Ubisoft employee play single-player. The multiplayer demo was enough for me to get a feel for the PS4 controller though.

Unknown. Saw people playing it on solo stations at the Ubi booth, though.

Friend told me that there's a Ubi theatre where people can watch a guided demo of Watchdogs open world gameplay.
 
Was a fun first day! Lines were long all the time for these two, but they seemed to move pretty well.

These were all playable at SDCC right?

From what I remember at SDCC, the list of playable games in the OP were all playable at SDCC. Watch Dogs was not playable, but was shown off in a private room at the Ubisoft booth. It seems to be the same case for Watch Dogs at Fan Expo.
 
SO is there but I guess she was too distracted by all the anime figures and cosplayers to notice. Maybe I'll get a crazed phonecall with impressions tomorrow.
 
I got down to play a few of the games today. I played a few rounds of KI and played forza 5.

Both look great! The jaggies in Forza 5 are really bad though, I'm talking visible staircases in some parts. Will get to the PlayStation booth today. I didn't think many gaffers would be there. I drove 20 hours from Nova Scotia to come.
 
I felt every one of those $100,000,000 they spent on R&D when I held that Xbox One controller in my hands. Just felt awesome.

PS4 controller is also greatly improved. I think its close to the level of the 360 (with the exception being a much better d-pad) but theres something about it that feels a little cheaper than the Xbox One controller. The industrial design of the Xbox One controller is up there with something like the iPhone 5. It's not that the PS4 controller is bad at all though. It felt like I was playing a 360 game when I was playing AC4.

A few years back when they were showing Halo Anniversary CE every damn TV on the floor was using that motion smoothing crap which added so much lag to every single game, rendering most of them unplayable to me. This year was not nearly as bad in terms of input lag but I think some of the TVs still had their 120hz motion smoothing mode enabled. Including the ones at the Forza booth.
 
I just came back from the event a few hours ago. I played Killer Instinct for XB1 and Knack for PS4. I never thought I would say this but I came away more impressed by XB1. :O

Can you buy a ticket at the door or are they sold out? Cause i'm in Buffalo and would totally drive up there to get my hands on these systems.

Can anyone else who was at this event speak to this? I watched some off screen gameplay videos, and I didn't noticed any jaggies. Especially not as bad as you're describing.
 
I'm going on Saturday. Can't believe they raised the prices again. $50 bux to inhale nerd sweat for an entire day. Woohoo.
 
Oh shit, can you still buy passes?

Edit: Nevermind, just checked the ticket prices. I think I'll pass... Although had I known, I would have bought a ticket for Thursday, oh well.
 
Is there any way for a mod to add GT6/Beyond to the thread title? Wanted to stress that those are playable on PS3 as well.

They're pretty disgusting in KI. Again, I was forced to play at nearly point-blank range on a 60" LED, but damn, it was a bit gross.

The XB1 controller didn't feel as spectacular to me as it did to a poster a few posts up from me here. But then, I've always preferred the DS3 to the 360 controller.....so, take my opinion with a huge grain of salt.

They're scheduled to raise all prices AGAIN next year. =/ Or so the organizers told me yesterday.

The event's just way too popular and growing by 10,000+ attendees annually. Makes total financial sense.

Did any of the Xbox One games use the Impulse Triggers? I'm definitely more of a PS4 guy, but that rumble sounded like a pretty neat feature.
