What's your gaming routine right now?

I now usually play at evenings and a little bit during the day. I have like 9 games on rotation, trying to force myself to switch between the games as much as possible during the playtime
How about you all?

We have no kids and work part time, but I also love walking, working out, movies, art and series.

I try to play about 5-10 hrs a week of coop games with my buddies on Steam.

I'm having fun with Ball X Pit on Switch 2.

I buy on the platform that is cheapest or makes sense to me. Currently looking forward to Saros, I have 4 days off when that comes out :)

My gaming time is rather tame these days. I can't find the time or motivation for longer games, like JRPG's.

Whenever I get the chance and have the energy. Sometimes that's afternoons and sometimes that's late evenings or early evening. Otherwise I have a side job I do on Sundays for 12 hours and I can play during that for the most part so I do a lot of game playing on that day. I used to do a lot of play time in the early mornings like 4 5 6 a.m., but right now that time slot is occupied so I can't.

My girlfriend usually goes to bed somewhat early so I usually play 2 hours before I go to bed. If she works evenings or during the weekend (her schedule isn't static) then I game all day unless I'm out practicing or competing at a pool tournament.

I feel like a teenager, I took my old man house cause they just keep getting more expensive with time and the newer houses are basically trash. I rely on 4 income streams and a remote job. It's not an expensive lifestyle rather the expenses themselves are basically distributed elsewhere, yes, I'm a weirdo to average households.

Currently I am playing two games. I try to play a little Pokopia during the day off and on for a few hours and some Pragmata in the evenings for an hour or two.

I'm retired at the age of 39. I go to the gym, go for walks, and then play when I feel like it.

Although not as much as I think I want to.

I have 3 kids so I play when they're at school or in bed. Luckily my wife games with me or will sit next to me with her switch

There's no routine. I'm semi-retired so if I feel like playing something I do and if I don't, I don't. I can go a stretch where I'm playing daily for 2-3 weeks and then go a month without even looking at my PC/PS5. Right now I'm in a Resident Evil phase so I've beaten the original RE2/RE3 on GOG recently, and currently going through Code Veronica. In between there for a change of pace I beat Miles Morales.

So what games in rotation are you playing? I also like to rotate games.

working at home lately, so i play between coffee break or when i got small time.
and because I'm playing MH, i can easily come and easily go each hunt. if I play something other, it need to have quick save or save state if emulator.
only play above 30 minutes - 1 hour if i got more time.

I wait for the kids to go down, then try and play a handheld for about 3 minutes before I am tasked with some chore from the wife. Repeat until I go to sleep.

Basically me here. Except I try to force myself in the late evenings to play a little otherwise I'd never play a godamn game again.

Whenever I want. I try to not have more than 1 or 2 games at the same time.

Usually 2-3 hours after work on weekdays, and weekends are completely random.

Most nights after work are playing games, then watching a movie or show, and then bed.

I don't play anything at all most days.

Friday night I do 2-3 hours in the evening, once the kids are settled.

Every 2-3 weeks I might spend a couple of successive evenings playing Apex Legends, again once the kids are in bed.

Weekdays: an hour or so in the evening; sometimes a bit longer.

Weekends: a bit in the afternoon and then again in the evenings.

Overall, I'm gaming for about 9 hours a week, in average. Not a huge amount, but I get through plenty of games.

I guess my routine would be a small little bit in the early morning before work, I get up just after midnight and get some coffee, watch some stuff but a little gaming helps get the 'ol synapses firing I find. For a good few years my girl's schedule was nearly identical to mine but just recently her job changed her shift to midday so I have a few hours alone before she get's home. Thus I have more time for gaming but despite that I still mess around in the usual suspects. Its funny I try to motivate myself to actually dedicate to a single game but usually can't, especially longer often story heavy stuff. But I can sink a ton of time into sandbox or random generation games ala Mechwarrior 5, and then a few online games like The First Descendant for daily runs and eye-candy.

The weekend is where I have the most time but it often ends up being even more relaxed and spread out with movies, books and tabletop rpg stuff.

A series of long, open-world games. Some action-adventure, some RPG. Lately, Starfield -- which is okay

I play when I'm in the mood and, due to a medical condition, I'm often stuck inside. Gaming has been a great way to pass the time when that happens. Plus, as Isa Isa said:

I find that too and it's extremely helpful in my situation.

I wish I had a routine.

Right now I seem to just keep buying games i'm interested in and never actually starting any.

My PS5 Pro, Series X and Switch 2 are just collecting dust.

No real routine, but I try to get to play G.A.M.M.A. for at least 5h on a saturday or sunday.
Since G.A.M.M.A. is the only game I'm playing right now and it takes time, I'd rather not even start if I know I only have an hour or two to spare; gaming usually doesn't happen during the week right now

Man I wish GAMMA had controller support

I'm pretty sure the Steam Controller will be a gamechanger for these kinds of games.
Played SoC on the Deck when it released which had no official support and I was able to configure everything to my likings, including gyro aiming when I aimed down sights and some shortcuts.
I did a whole playthrough and it was really enjoyable.

I focus on one game until finishing it

Past month was RE9, and since I noticed that the Leon parts were way easier, I played an hour per day and ok, with Grace was like on the weekends

I recently got Silksong and since this game is hard by default, I try to play at Wednesday night because it's the middle of the week and I can give myself the pleasure of not go to the gym that day

I'm impressed you can have nine games in rotation. I only keep two at a time (one per console) plus Call of Duty with my friends when they want to play.

My routine is to do work/chores/everything during the day so that once I put my kid to bed at 8pm, I can hop in bed and turn on the TV to play something. I do this almost every night unless I'm too tired.

Most days I start in the evening (usually around 9pm) and play until around 1am. I don't use weekends to have intense sessions and focus on non-gaming activities instead.

I would get a steam deck to game more but I prefer playing on my ps5 pro which I don't have more time to play. Shit fucking blows

-One match of PUBG when I get up (5:30-6AM).
-Life (7AM-8PM).
-Up to an hour of whatever single player game I'm currently playing.
-Bed.

I don't work in January, so it's basically as much gaming per day as I want.

I don't have one. I am bouncing off of everything I play. I grew up gaming in the 80's and 90's and this modern age of video games is just not for me. I am looking forward to very few action games and that's about it. I don't have anything good going on in my life, and gaming was at least an escape but now that that's gone, I just don't have any enrichment or stimulation when I have downtime/free time and it is very frustrating and upsetting for me. I want a PS5 Pro and money wasn't an issue to buy games for a very long time, but I am in a financial rough patch right now so I can't even buy a Pro. /vent
