But I guess it's easier to lean back in your neckbeard palace, nod approvingly at this kid and tell yourself that it's all about "confidence" and you could do it too (if you actually wanted to, of course), than manning up, working on your body (hint: it's not only to impress girls and it has nothing to do with "injecting yourself with chemicals"), investing in some good clothes, and improving your social skills.

So why don't you quote any of the posters that need a reality check then? Because so far it seems like you're suggesting that anyone who gave props to this kid or stated the importance of confidence is clearly a neckbeard, who cares nothing for their appearance.
Confidence doesn't necessarily mean that a person shouldn't take care of their appearance, and you do realize that those other things you mentioned, the social skills and the decent clothes and so on, all those things are done for confidence or they can certainly help.
I don't see why you differentiate between "confidence" and doing the alternatives you mentioned?
