Noticed that in the dark depths of my DL list. What's up with that? I wonder if there was a possible Hell Yeah! port planned for Vita before Arkedo sadly disbanded and Sega got all hardnosed about what they'll bother with.
I don't understand what is the problem? If you download a ps3 game it shows up on your download list on the vita as well.
It's due November 5th in NA. Presumably that is not where Cheddaz is located.
Bleh, stop with this BS. It's not like console KZs have that many more, the levels should be about 45min to 1 hour long + they have incentives to replay levels playing differently. That's fairly long for a FPS campaign nowadays with plenty of replay value to boot.
Nope, Soul Sacrifice is different enough from Monster Hunter that hardcore MH players may dislike SS (and vice-versa).
I spent 500+ hours on MH series....but I didn't really like SS.
On a side note, I bought a 3DS XL just for MH....and now I'm done with it....the 3DS XL is languishing in my drawer.
Seriously? I thought they kept pushing it back/not announcing anything concrete. November is turning out to be a great month. It's due November 5th in NA. Presumably that is not where Cheddaz is located.
If it takes that long to use the backup utility, wouldn't it be faster to just manually copy all your games/saves over to your PC and then just manually copy them back over? I might get a 32GB card soon and I don't want to wait that long since all my games and saves are already stored on my PC.
Machinarium is worth playing if you like puzzle games, though I can't say anything about the PSV version. If you're deaf you'll have to use a guide for one of the puzzles, but if you're not it has some very nice sound design and music.Anyways, any opinion on Machinarium?
Huh, I didn't realize that. I just pulled it from Amazon and GameStop, which both have November 5th.When did this get announced? I tweeted XSEED a while back and they told me that there still wasn't an official release date
I meant insinuating that 9 missions is somehow low, especially when they've made sure that there's plenty of replay value in them if you're not just in for a quick run through of the game but want a meatier experience. I'm sure you can run through the missions on easy faster than their estimate of 45-60 minutes, but that's not how a lot of people play these games.huh? they are 9 missions, sorry if this hurt you somehow but that is a fact.
no one tested how long it take to beat them, so that that might be developers usual exaggerated like when they tell us a game is 12 hours but it fact it's a 5 hours game. same thing goes with its replay value.
Encryption. The system encrypts and then decrypts when it is being transferred. This is to prevent hacking. Unfortunate, but the hacking situation on the psp was pretty bad, so I understand why they did it.
This is what I do. They really made this as painful as possible. We should be getting USB 3.0 speeds if we're forced to move entire games just to backup saves.
Does DOA5+ come with all the DLC?
Nope. There's one free costume pack but it's pretty much the same as vanilla DoA5 on consoles with some extra modes/features.Does DOA5+ come with all the DLC?
Hey does anyone know why it takes so long for Vita to back up the memory card?
It took me like 2 hours to back up my 8 gig![]()
I actually never played Monster Hunter so that just blind assumption on my part. So the game while similar, it have major difference then?
And miss all the chance to rob you blind with 50 bucks worth of costumes? Now what made you think Tecmo would want that.

How long are the missions?
Ah thanks, the sale had me tempted.
Each chapter is 45min to 1hr long...so longer than the majority of FPS campaigns these days. And the poster you quoted knows that already, but he's blinded by pure ignorance.
The preparing to download problem is fixed? The Last 15 games I downloaded didn't cause a freeze. Must have been on the server side then.
No, many people still got this problem, you are just lucky.
I really don't believe this, developers always say this and it turn that the game is way way shorter than that, and for a handheld FPS with missions based like this ..yeah.
Chapter 17 of NG Sigma. I hate almost all the boss fights in this. Only fun one was the Doku fight in the early chapters, the Giant Skeleton Dragon in the temple and Murai in chapter 1. Rest are tedious crap. And fuck Alma.
Game is still pretty fun though. It has taken like 10 years but I'll finally finish this game soon enough
Not really. They use what they know of their QA sessions as basis on what they claim. And besides, often when people are all "VANQUISH ONLY TOOK 4 HOURS!" they ignore the fact that often retries, cutscenes and stuff like that isn't counted into the completion time, so even if by the end the game clock says you "only" played 5 hours the truth might be closer to 8 or 9. And they usually say what the average completion time is for a player who doesn't just run & gun his/her way through the game on Easy, but who see some effort to explore, try some stealth etc.I really don't believe this, developers always say this and it turn that the game is way way shorter than that, and for a handheld FPS with missions based like this ..yeah.

Well, you were quick to judge the game by saying it "only" had 9 missions, like that is automatically a bad thing. You don't know length or replayability of the game. We can only go by official reports, and until the contrary proves to be true, maybe you shouldn't automatically assume the worst.

6-7 hours wouldn't be lying as they say the levels can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, and I'm sure that is with a "+/- 5-10 minutes". Skillful players will probably go through the levels in that 45-50 minutes, meaning they'd probably take about 7 hours to complete the game. The thing you (and Totobeni) need to understand is that people's play styles & skills vary a fuckton. Some are very skilled and can plow through the levels with ease and play through the campaign in less time than what the devs have estimated. Some are not as skilled and/or take a more careful approach, meaning they might actually take LONGER than 60 minutes per level, meaning for them it'll have taken longer than what the devs said. Some really take their time exploring the environments (just looking at scenery or finding some collectibles) even in linear shooters like Killzone and others run through the game given little thought to stealth. Of course gameplay time varies based on the chosen difficulty level (this also ties to player skill). It's really impossible to estimate gameplay times really accurately, all they can do is give an approximate estimate based on what they've experienced during play testing. And, I mean, for a developer it might be hard to estimate it if they have been playing the game for months or even years and they know the ins and outs of it so they can probably play through their own game in 2 hours even in their sleep. You aren't wrong, but developers always white lie about game length. It's just standard practice. It mathematically adds up to roughly 8-9 hours based off of what they've said, but in reality it'll likely be 6-7 hours.
If devs say a game can take 8-10 hours and it takes 7h,15 min to me, I don't see that as lying. They do base their estimates on something (though, a lot of devs don't really like to even give any estimates because they know how much it can vary). It's just that I can guarantee you it won't actually be as long as they're saying it is. It never is.
fuck Alma.

Yeah this always works perfectly.I've been buying stuff from webstore and send them to download queue to by pass the whole preparing for download problem

My answer was perhaps more to Totobeni, you just provided me with some quotes. That's what I mean though. That's why I called it a "white" lie. Those estimates account for (for REAL lack of a better term here) casual gamers and the like. They don't really apply to anyone like us who's a "gamer" enough to be posting on Neogaf. (God I hate the terms I'm using here) Pretty much all of us would be able to naturally complete the game more quickly than their estimate.
I'm not calling the developers "liars". It's just a little white lie that doesn't totally apply to us very accurately. I'm sure almost anyone in this thread would be hitting the 6-7 hour mark rather than an 8-9 hour mark.
That's all that I mean.
Dabilahro UA spam makes most of the bosses/the game quite easy after you get it. Except Alma.Chapter 17 of NG Sigma. I hate almost all the boss fights in this. 9 missions sounds very standard for an FPS. Halo 3 only had 8, IIRC.
I spent 500+ hours on MH series....but I didn't really like SS.
I was excited for SS and liked the demo. After the game came out I bought it day one. I then started playing MH on the Wii U and couldn't go back to SS.
Anthology is a must-have. No question. 100% complete. Avoid the standalone Metal Slug 1 & 2 on the PSN section. I bought them once when I still had an 8GB card and was in need of space... it was 700-ish MB for Anthology vs under a 100MB for both MS1&2. That way I could still get my fix. One level into MS1 and the framerate was an abomination... deleted both of them, requested a refund and redownloaded Anthology immediately. I'm not one to be particular about things, so believe me when I say it was an issue.
I've warmed up to the SNK-Playmore Metal Slug games like 4-6 & XX/7.
Also get Shock Troopers, my man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4Fo2Scowqk
MH has a lot of parallels with fighting games though. One of the reasons I like it a lot more than most hunting games.I enjoyed the SS demo and bought the game day one. But I got tired of it after a week and went back to MH Freedom Unite. The lack of places to explore in SS killed my interest in it. I feel like if all I want is fast-paced combat I can just go play a fighting game.

Awesome thanks. Will pick up Anthology now. Do the games have unlimited continues?
Also will check out Shock Troopers.. Looks like Commando but better. Not sure how i've missed it all this time, thought I knew most Neo Geo games.
