I got some major slow down in Spelunky on world 2, in one of the hidden levels that I won't spoil here, which got me killed. Never experienced any slowdown in the XBLA version.

Edit: VitaGAF should I get Dragon's Crown or Muramasa Rebirth if I can only get one? Price doesn't really factor for me, just want the better experience.

i'm guessing it was in the black market with all the shop keepers thinking your were a terrorist.

could you be a little more specific (in spoilers)

dragons crown for sure no contest. better combat, deeper gameplay.

I played Muramasa and had a blast. The backtracking is not that bad after a while and the battle system is great.

Haven't yet tried DC (already bought it though), but I have a feeling it is even better.

If you have time to play both eventually I'd start with Muramasa and then DC in a few months. or start with DC if you prefer the multiplayer stuff and leave Muramasa for later on. Both are great and deserve to be played.

Ok, I have a problem. The spelunky demo wouldnt download so I hit cancel. After doing this my vita is basically frozen and i cant do anything with it unless I hard reset. This happens every single time I cancel a download. Is anyone else having this issue?

It was the secret castle level. There wasn't too much happening on screen. I was about to unlock Van Hellsing too : (

Today is a crappy day for the Vita. Project Diva F was released in NA today for PS3, and Sega still maintains that they have no plans for the Vita version, even though it's the same fucking game.

It's just so frustrating to see even low risk releases get the shaft. The cost in getting a digital-only release would have been very small, and even then they are still not willing to support the Vita.

Isn't it also One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 day, which is in the same exact situation?

I have not played Murumasa, but from what I can gather from everything about the game Dragon's Crown is the way to go. Tons upon tons of loot, multiple characters with varying styles of play, and multiplayer. I've heard Murumasa has pulitple endings, which I honestly can't say anything about DC as I have yet to "truly finish" the game, but I do love some DC. heck, I just lost over an hour of power leveling in DC due to the Store's downloading glitch, had to turn the Vita off. But I enjoy it enough to want to jump right back in and do it all over again.

That is, if I didn't just buy Spelunky. Either way, you are getting a visual treat to oogle at, with plenty of solid gameplay. Muruamasa is defintiely on my buy list.

Both are great. I couldnt choose only one. I put about 25 hours into muramasa and 2 into DC so far. The really good thing about Muramasa is that the two main character's stories are very different so it's actually worth a replay with the other character.

I was originally frustrated by this decision, even considering a purchase of the PS3 version...then I got Technika Tune and now I'm just shrugging. Turns out I care a lot more about just having a new, quality music game than having a Miku game. Add in the convenience of portability and the advantage of not irritating my fiancé with hours of robotvoice and it's Sega's loss, Pentavision's gain.

If they change their minds, I'll be happy to add it to my collection. Until then I'll be playing DJ MAX.

Picked up FIFA 13 from goodwill today for 4 bones.

My god, that article was true, this game is a re skinned FIFA 11 except with Messi plastered all over.

PES needs to come to the Vita ASAP

Still waiting on a DJ Max sale. Really surprised its yet to have one.

im surprised you're holding back. tight wallet? too many other purchases?

it's a good game.

For me it's both tight wallet and too many other purchases! I'm just trying to clear out my backlog before I get anything else new. I'm currently in the home stretch of Persona 4 Golden, but I have, quite literally, a dozen or more other games I need to get through as well.

I'm passing on Spelunky today as well, although I downloaded the demo.

Played a little bit of Spelunky and I'm definitely going to need to get some of those trigger grips. My hands were cramping after about 5 minutes. Game is still awesome but it's so damn hard to see some things on the small screen.

Spelunky boughten. The Vita version of course, because Vita deserves the credit. ALWAYS BUY THE VITA VERSION WHEN DOING CROSS BUY.

I'm new to cross-save. Do you have to manually sync the save files to share your progress between PS3 and Vita, or is there a way to do it fully automatically?

Yep my hands are getting cramped too but im loving it, hate it when i get all careless and boom. Dead.

I am sure Spelunky will continue the series of indie games on Vita outselling their PS3 counterpart.

Lol. I just saw that Need For Speed: Most Wanted got price dropped to $19.99. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought it a week ago for $30. LOL. Ah well. The game is really fun.

Muramasa is pretty but loads of repeating backgrounds an enemies. Extremely simplistic combat and lots of backtracking, add in a forgettable story too. I got tired after a couple of hours.
The forging swords bit is fun but it is nothing more than standard grinding really.
Buy DC, it's the superior game.

That's called the "Die Humans" bug. The Vita pretty much locks up randomly whenever trying to download something from the store. Only way out is a hard reset..

We've been waiting for a firmware to fix it completely but alas... no success...

yes I made that name up

The physical edition has had some admittedly small discounts. I ordered mine two weeks ago when Schobeleth posted that $7 off code, which is the lowest I've seen it go.

I'm not sure how long it's going to take before a significant discount comes since it's that expensive because of the licensed content (so there are thinner margins to support a price drop) and sales have probably been pretty bad. No one* was willing to stock the retail version of the game, so Pentavision has had to absorb inventory/fulfillment costs while having almost no visibility. It's a niche title so there's limited appeal even if people are aware of it, and then purchases from people who aren't big fans of the franchise/genre would be chilled by sticker shock.

...I'm not calling you cheap for wanting a sale, btw; just explaining why I think it hasn't happened/may not happen soon.

* I think Play-Asia started stocking the NA version just recently.

It's all good. I wasn't meaning anything crazy sale wise.
Probably would've jumped on it just for the 7 off. But that stocking issue makes sense though. Since I was wondering why it never showed up anywhere.

Any other sales besides the known ones now that the PSN store is up?

EDF is 20 bucks

On da sneak tip...

Also...

PSN is selling Blood Dragon AND Call of Juarez Gunslinger bundle for 25 bucks...

Thats 12.5 each... I wont complain, I got Blood Dragon for 7 but I wanted Gunslinger as well... guess I gotta wait for that sale

*tries two download two things*

*gets freeze error both times*

How bout you fix this, guys?

EDF for 20 bucks?
Y'all crazy not to jump on that.

Speaking of which, I recently unlocked the Genocide Gun for Storm 1.
Grinding on Inferno just became cake. :D
