GTA V has gone gold.

I couldn't help myself, I watched 3 or 4 TV programs/
short movies
that leaked. Holy shit at some of this stuff, the amount of time and money spent on videos most players probably won't see is insane.
 
I just watched that GS 45 minute GTA Doco, so hyped.
The intro music to both GTA:SA and more so GTA4 is epic, just full spec epic. It was an AMAZING track for GTA4, just great piece of music, great 'camera' angles - just a sweet intro. The trailers for the game were cut nearly flawlessly and again, music choice for trailers, great.

The hype is strong, Rockstar just get it bang the fuck on. I can not goddamned wait, 3 days off work, midnight lauch, eager as can be.

I suppose its time to bail out now on most forums and social media. I expect the game to be leaked out by weekend or Monday.

I don't mind seeing pictures or videos from just gameplay but a no no to story.

BTW has it been said how the 2 discs will work on X360? Is disc 2 just for more installing content or will it be needed for playing the story?

You will have to install one disc. After that you can play the entire game from the other disc - no swapping needed.

Thank god. Not that I was too lazy to swap discs like some but the constant use of putting in and taking out raises the problem of damaging the discs.

I wonder if this means that the second disc is being accessed by the console while playing, I'd assume so which would be a massive negative to me. I always install the games because the sound of the disc drive spinning is pretty distracting when compared to playing games where it's not running off the disc, if there's no way to install both then I'd be disappointed
if I wasn't getting it on PS3 anyway

Oh i wouldn't be too sure man, 90% in this forum are trolls, check out the GTAV section there constantly stupid/spoiler/or troll threads. The mods are faster now yes but that doesn't stop some assholes from spoiling shit.
 
I'd be more pissed if the type of heists you do in the game were spoiled. Story wise Rockstar tend to be very predictable so I'm not too bothered if I am spoiled tbh.

I think the newswire will be safe up until release at least, but I'm not going to IGN until the game is out, they spoiled the Mass Effect 3 ending for me.

Which might have been a good thing.
 
Yeah, definitely time to batten down the hatches. I wish I was a bear as I would go into hibernation until release date. Unfortunately I have to work to pay bills, support my family. Oh well, I have 3 days off from work to look forward to:)
 
How did the GTAIV shipments work for mom and pop stores? I'm wondering if a local business will be able to stack copies like Gamestop will be.

It's just Scots slang for scrotum. Baw = ball. Like fitbaw = football and bawsack = ballsack.
There's a few of them in the older GTA games. I don't remember any Scots slang jokes in GTAIV though. Here's another example:

There's also a lot of little nods in the radio station chatter too.
The horse racing in GTA SA has a lot of nods with the horse names some in reference to football players like Nenrik Larsson.

Although the humor is juvenile, there really is some serious comedic gold within the radio stations. It'll be great to hear them the first time around, and then a million times more.

I'm honestly going to spend over the odds on a £50 digital copy for this, purely because I don't want to have to swap discs every time I watch a Blu Ray and I think £50 will still be great value.

Am I an idiot?

Whatever you feel like is a good investment is good for you, but considering you'd be putting a disc in whenever you want to watch a Blu-ray anyway you may as well be taking the game disc out while you do it. The physical copy's going to have that re-sale value too, if that makes a difference.

God, the hype! It's so close now I can almost taste it! I have a 4 day weekend starting tonight, then a short work week. Then after that there's just one week left before GTA week! SO CLOSE!
