GAF Bingo winner proof thread - GrizzNKev's ongoing PAX musings

Today is the official start of my use of the PAX passes I won. By the bingo rules I'm required to provide photographic evidence that I'm actually using the passes I won. I've already made a couple controversial threads but they get off topic quickly so I thought I'd just do this for my scatterbrained PAX experiences.

Thanks to TommyT for making this possible.

For the next hour, the queue room. Brought to you by DewRitos and Xbone.

For some reason I can't embed pictures from my phone. Hold on.

edit: Thanks Wario.

Ok, Infamous. We sat in a theater and watched a live playthrough of the E3 demo, so nothing new in terms of content. The framerate is a vsync'd variable 60/30, though the majority of the time it was 60. Immaculate image quality, far better than the issues I saw with Killzone.

This is the PS4 game to get.

Oh my. I think I'm getting the vapors.

How did the game look besides the IQ?

How do you know it was 60 and not more around 45?

*faints*

They still have 5 months

*faints again*

Vsync only allows a framerate to double or decrease by half. None of the telltale signs of a fully unlocked framerate were there. No stutter or tearing, just a barely noticeable drop to 30 if 60 couldn't be held, which was not too often.

My second attempt at Driveclub was so much more fun. Definitely my favorite racer of all time. Having smaller challenges within the overarching challenge of getting a good lap time means constant entertainment for those of us who tend to get bored driving cars in video games.

Nice impressions for inFAMOUS, definitely pleased to hear it perform well.

How did Driveclub look.
Wen need a preview to the footage coming next week.

Wait wait... the game runs (mostly) at 60 now? If this is true, then it only cements Second Son being the best looking next-gen game.

Typo? :P

It's good to hear that DC is shaping up nicely as well.

I'd say good but not great. Image quality is not the best but the environments are very convincing and the lighting is beautiful for a racing game.

Here is me with claptrap. Special thanks to Noshino for the pass and Opiate for most intense game of Bingo I have ever played.

As far as PAX impressions are concerned, it really seemed packed for a Friday this year. I pretty much avoided playing the AAA games on the main floor due to lines and such. I was pretty content just watching others play. The indie section was very impressive, it's good to see that area improving year after year.

The Madcatz Unvelied event on Thursday evening was spectacular. There were tons of new games to try out and folks to see, the goodie bag was pretty nice as well. Shoutouts to Markman.

What I enjoy most about PAX every year is seeing all the people, whether they are people I know from a gaming community or just random people you happen to chat with while doing something. There are usually lots of outgoing people at PAX who are extremely cool in some way or another.
