If Ozil is on the market why is United not moving?

I don't get it either, especially with Rooney liable to try and bolt or get a wage increase next summer. Ozil would be the ultimate leverage. But I suppose our scouts might think he's too slow like Isco or Moyes is worried that he's not PL-proven like Ashley Young.

Or he doesn't have the depth of experience like Giggs.

I'm a little confused. Why isn't anyone making a greater effort to nab Mata? One of the best players from last season, clearly isn't wanted by Mourinho, probably unhappy.

I'd love to have him at United over Herrera & Fellaini.
Why would chelsea sell you mata after the rooney fiasco?

I know Ozil is Ozil, but I'm surprised Madrid have gotten Arsenal to cough up that much.

Shouldn't it be a reverse-Spurs scenario? Everyone knows Madrid needs capital after the Bale transfer, so couldn't Arsenal actually legitimately lowball this time?

I still don't really understand how fiscally responsible Arsenal is the team that would need Ozil enough to outbid others for him when they have Cazorla, Wilshere, etc.
Man Utd would seem to be a better fit for both sides.

Cazorla will move to the wing, hopefully.

Arsenal were devoid of creativity many times last season. It is a very good signing.

We can't sign a marquee striker because there aren't any available.

Yeah, I have no idea why they're wasting time trying to get Fellaini from us when Ozil was available.

Especially since Everton aren't likely to be able to spend the money effectively at this point, so I really can't see why we'd want to sell.

EDIT: We need a striker though, so we'll take Van Persie in a straight swap if you're that insistent Moyesie.

It seems like a McCarthy deal is definitely happening if Fellaini moves.

Everton get the better part of that deal if that's the case. McCarthy is arguably as influential as Fellaini, but younger, with more potential. Looks like Moyes is paying a premium for a "proven" Premiership midfielder (McCarthy has performed well in a struggling Wigan team, but not yet shown he can step up to a mid to upper table club). Cash would sweeten the deal - a fantastic bit of business for Everton there.

From BBC Sport:

We've been asked how much money Southampton will make from the Gareth Bale transfer.

The answer is absolutely nothing (almost).

Saints did have a 25% sell-on clause in the deal to sell Bale to Tottenham, but is was renegotiated when the south-coast club were in deep financial trouble.

As part of the new deal, Saints got Spurs goalkeeper Tommy Forecast.

Daniel Levy is some sort of arch-negotiator.

So many lolz. Tommy Forecast, the most expensive goalkeeper in footballing history.

Goal Nigeria is saying the price was 47m euros.

They also said that due to complications with Real Madrid's bank, they need to find somebody to hold on to 20m euros whilst the details are sorted out. They asked for an account number and sort code to transfer the monies, and will let you keep 2.5m euros for assisting with this transfer at Real Madrid's time of need.

Yurt

On the strength of the signings today, looks like the top four is going to be tight this season, but I can see it being the two Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal with Spurs narrowly missing out mostly due to AVB being out of his depth.

Livepool will be nowhere near again, because... Liverpool.

or a completely ordinary medical team for that matter. Abel Hernandez is acting like a cunt in Palermo, hope he ends up at Arsenal the constantly injured asshole.

We need to dope our players. Everyone else is doing it, time to get with the times.

Dope the fuck out of them.

Of course not. I'll be angrily checking for updates while I'm at work later, there will be no good news and ill end up striking a customer and crying in the staff room.

i would be more than contented if we got back demba ba tbh. i mean even if nobby solano is announced to be part of our coaching staff, id be happy. just throw me anything at this point!

He'll go to Arsenal probably. At this point, 8 hours to go I'd take him. But I wouldn't be happy, we've had enough time to find a physical striker that can support Cisse up front, we know Ba and Cisse can't work together so what is the point?

Ah fuck everything
