I love MH as well, and SS just couldn't hook me. I guess there are people who love both; I haven't seen many though.

I like the concept and combat of MH, but never had enough time to commit, nor anyone about to coop with.
Soul Sacrifice has always struck me as a little strange to compare to MH, but for the sake of argument, I really like the fast, compact boss rush take on the 'hunting genre' that SS proffers. I didn't initially care for it, but after spending some time with it, I fell in love.

Publishing rights don't necessarily cover additional platforms or "new" versions of a game (Ninja Gaiden -> Sigma). Not that a Bravely Default Vita port seems likely, but I'm sure SE wants to have its iOS options open.
Just wait. I think it has a fairly chance of being free in PS+. Moreover online in the lower levels and Avalon Pacts is deserted. I was thinking about buying it, but I will get Toukiden when it hits instead. The hunting genre Vita comunity will probably move to that game.

Can I download the games straight to my PC and transfer them to the vita, or I need to download them to Vita and then store them on PC?

Why is the messaging app on Vita so damn awful? Even the simple act of just replying to a message is ridiculously hard on Vita. A nice simple reply to message option would be nice Sony. Hell, even by manually going on to create message and attempting to send a message to someone on my friends list isn't simple. Create message> add recipent from friends list > ok. It still doesn't actually bring up the option to type a message to that person. So I figure maybe once I've done that I have to click on the create message bit at the bottom of the screen. So I type my message and guess what happens? It sends a message to myself instead of the friend. What. The. Fuck. In the end I had to just turn my PS3 on and use that in order to reply to the message. The messaging app on Vita is beyond a joke.

No worries, cheers. So what's the average size of a full Vita game (ie Uncharted/Wipeout/Killzone)? Just wondering how many games I can hold on a 16gb card, around 4?
Closer to 6 to 8 depending on what games you choose. Most games on the vita are not that large. Throw in a couple of smaller titles. And you can have a dozen games on the system.

I've sent messages on Vita before but only by manually typing in their name to send the message. The app is not good.

Retail averages 2-3gb and indie titles at least 2D ones are usually 500mb or less. My rough guess from the amount I've acquired.
I might be mistaken, but if you want to reply to a message, don't you just start typing in the window at the bottom of the screen?

Just open the message the previous guy sent you and key in your reply at the bottom of the screen. Iirc
Alternatively, touch the create message icon, manually add your desired recipients, and key in your message.
Strange; I've never had that problem. I just typed in what I wanted to say, hit send and the message went off. You might wanna try restarting and sending the message again.
EDIT: What the poster above me said should be exactly how it works.

Maybe the message did send over to your friend? Iirc, you will see the message you sent to him on your side as well. It is a threaded message system, so all your conversations are recorded on the same page I think.

That's possible. The thing that makes me not so sure about that is that when I turn my PS3 on and check my messages there it says I've received the message I sent from my Vita but it doesn't have the message anywhere in my sent box. Though it does on the Vita but but I juist don't understand why it would be in my inbox on PS3 but not in my sent messages box on PS3. I'll find out soon enough for sure if my message got to the other person and get back to this thread then.

I would guess its a bug or glitch because the few times I have used the message app I just typed the message at the bottom and hit send. Pretty simple.
bare in mind it keeps both the messages from the friend and the ones you send on the same screen. like a conversation.
I also never had a problem using the group messaging app. Still, it's time for them to integrate the friends, message and party app.

When I first picked up the Vita (have owned it since Day 1), for around the first year of owning it, Near never reported more than 4 people playing nearby. It was definitely an indication of how the Vita itself was really struggling.
Last night, it reported 31 people were playing nearby. I would say the price drop really did the system itself some good.

Yeah. If you send a message from your Vita, you'll receive a copy of it yourself.
The reason a sent message isn't in your sent messages on PS3 is because you sent it from your Vita and it's normal. Don't worry about the other person not receiving your message, I've never had such an issue with PS3 or Vita.

Though it did say when I preordered it that it would be automatically downloaded soon. I assume it will be in my download list at some point soon, just not right away?
