The company leves I did at level 20 gave me around 200-300 seals per one?

Edit: Unless you're on about the delivery/provision quests, they don't give as much.

Just speaking for the amount of people in the GB Company (which I'm the master of). We're really only part of a handful of moderately sized groups. I've seen at least two others that exceed our numbers that aren't 4chan, ZAM, or GAF (which dwarf us, hell GAF has hit its member limit), so that should give at least some indication of how jam-packed Ultros actually is.

They do? I wonder if that's been changed. I got my chocobo doing GC leve quests around Drybone and they were giving me nearly 200 a time with the time bonus

That said, holy shit. As much as I'm pissed at Square for these errors, I have to hand it to them, the game is great. It's as much a Final Fantasy as it is an MMO. Hopefully it survives this storm and actually make money out of this game. SE frankly deserves it.

Ya... I agree.

This is sucking me in just as much as Final Fantasy XI was pushing me away. I just couldn't get into that shit, FFXIV "feels" like a Final Fantasy game.

I just did Sunken Temple of Qarn for the first time. That was a pretty fun ride. I like how things a starting to shake up some with the fights/mechanics in the dungeons now. I just don't like those stone head mobs, there's something a little creepy about them. Also with the way things are going so far I may focus on my SCH for now instead of my WHM for healing. It feels a little more fun and a little more comfortable to me, even when things get crazy.
 
I really don't understand it. Unlock new character creation on Ultros. About an hour later lock it back. Seriously? I just want to make my alt. My girlfriend wants to play really badly, and I obviously want to play with her.. but I have no idea if and when we'll ever be able to do it on Ultros.
 
I've been getting lobby server errors -- both new and old -- since the patch went live.

Sitting here like an idiot, spamming the login sequence for two hours anyway.

I haven't felt this mix of anticipation, hope and deep, deep self-loathing since high-school.

If your level 20 and need seals, do FATE's in Eastern Thanlaan

After Highbridge area, within 2 hours you'll have 5K seals easily, get chunks of XP and gain a few levels in the process

Be in a party, don't try to solo
 
Is there a website I can check server status? Really don't want to keep booting up the game to see if I can make a character on Ultros. Nor do I want to leave the game on just looking at the server list.

Depends on the job. I've solo'd fates my entire time of Archer/Bard up to 40 and the only time I haven't received gold was b/c I showed up when it was 80%+ done and sometimes I would still get gold. Spam AOE and hit as many mobs as you can.

There is a great one at high bridge where the qirin's spawn 3x straight times in the same location and then you go fight a boss to the south. After that there are 2-3 other fates in the area that spawn and you pretty much just go spot to spot and the exp for the level is insane.

If youre low to mid 30's, Costa Del Sol is great too.
 
Created a new character for the new eu server around noon today (London time) initially the world was pretty empty
6 hours of playing later and it's pretty impressive how many people are there :-)
Was nice to finally get a good stable connection

I liked the population too. I'm sure all servers is this way? I was on Titan yesterday, and there was people everywhere. Unlike WoW on some servers the population looks like a ghost town.
 
I want to go beyond Flame Sergeant, It won't allow me. I've done Rank 2 GC Log but I can't seem to find the thing the commander want me to do. He gives me no Quest.

I hate that sort of attitude. It's bad enough normally but when a game is brand new to a huge chunk of the playerbase it's infuriating. The game's just launched. A hell of a lot of people are going to be running dungeons for the first time

It took me 10 days before I was able to play Diablo III at all, between the server issues and the lag with the servers (constant rubber banding of heroes, monster skill lag, etc.)

At least with FFXIV, once I'm in, I'm IN.

I just don't understand people like this. It's not like there is some massive death penalty you suffer if you wipe. They probably waste more time complaining about it and looking for someone else than they would have if they just gave you advice on how to proceed.

In games where I have a choice, I always go offensive magic

So while we wait, somebody suggest to me a different type of build. I want to entertain a completely different play style once I max out my black mage

I think you're grossly exaggerating to the point of lying, I've never heard of a situation like yours.

I had almost finished Nightmare difficulty within 7 days of launch.
