Holy shit at the ending of Justice League 23.1. Anyone else read it?

Edit: For those who haven't read it, Its written by Greg Pak. It ties into Justice League & Batman/Superman. It tells the story of Darkseid, and the Old/New Gods. Great read, I recommend picking it up.

Was that the one where they spent all the money on the 3D cover and couldn't hire an inker? I flipped through a few and I think that was the one I'm thinking of.

Nah it was the one where they made pointless changes to Darkseid's origins from Kirby's New Gods books and made me grumpy.

I cannot say I saw that revelation in ANXM coming. I did not see that coming at all. Battle of the Atom is shaping up to be very good, I'm glad I decided to follow it.

Man do the 3D covers look stupid. And they just make all the detailed parts of the cover look fuzzy.

Well I just grabbed Forever Evil #1 from DC, I'll maybe get the 2D Deathstroke and Darkseid issue in the future.

I did not know until i went to my shop there would be a line. I completely forgot about the 3D covers. I havent seen the owner so happy since the New 52 launch.

This may be common knowledge, but Hastings has a pretty awesome variant cover for Battle of the Atom 1. (Is there another variant that uses the Days of Future Past template but without the Hastings watermark?)

I've edited out the image and am instead linking to it in case the cover contains spoilers.

Guys, theres no more XFactor. Man, what a ride. When i first started comics, the two books i first started reading were Daredevil and Madrox, which would start Xfactor. Can't wait for whatever PAD does next.

I don't know whose idea was to show Darkseid's origin, but that person should be sent back through time with Omega beam

How the hell did they keep that secret.

Also-I'm incredibly suspicious of one of those Future X-Men...and with good reason.

If that doesn't convince you that Forever Evil is so gleefully dumb it's kind of amazing I don't know what to tell you, man. Probably that you hate fun or something.

His origin was revealed by Kirby in the New Gods books, the story of Uxas and Izaya is nothing new. I just didn't like the changes they made to it, I thought they were unnecessary.

Does anyone know where The Rocketeer / The Spirit Pulp Friction #2 is? I can't find any information on it other than it was supposed to be out already. It's hasn't come out yet though, right?

Was reading Iron Man #15 like "woah, Land is actually done nice job here" and then looked who actually worked on issue...

Also both twists in Infinity and Battle Of The Atom were great. Though, Infinity has veeeeeery weird pace. Recap of first issue in second issue? Just why. Oh and this narrator stuff is awful, even worse than in early Uncanny Avengers.

My LCS only had 3D covers. No 2D covers in sight. So all the ones I picked up were 3D. I would have wanted to pick a few in 2D to save $1 on each. They actually had a lot of 3D covers....the most I think they had of one was Batman #23.1 (Joker), probably near a hundred of them. :/

I generally don't think spoilers are a bad thing - I don't mind being spoiled about most stuff-

But I implore you-don't spoil yourself on the Batlle of the Atom secret. You have to read it yourself-it's that good.

I opted out of BotA. I just can't with Bendis. I just can't. I've tried. But I care about the characters so I'll be peeking through the black bars.

I'm only in for BotA because books I'm actually reading (Uncanny and Adjective-less) are involved. I'm not really an X-Men guy, but whatever.

You really should read it, this isn't AoU Bendis. No one is sitting on their ass for 3 issues here, this is actually good.

I still can't fucking believe they kept that twist a secret. Both Spock and Angela got spoiled and yet this didn't. I am impressed.
