No really. I'm surprised people are sticking with it even now after this error code nonsense, and the poor delivery of the game. It's going to be flavor of the month for quite alot of people, a fair amount are going to stick around for a quarter or two after that, then it's just going to dwindle to a small core userbase. Especially since it's a pay to play model in this day and age.

Have you even played this game?

We're talking about one of the best games in the entire Final Fantasy franchise here. I don't think you understand that.

You're calling people SE drones just because they're enjoying this game.

You may dislike the game if you want, but to insult people for enjoying something you don't is uncalled for.

I've played it for about an hour around when it launched before I just gave up on it entirely. I bought the game a few months before the original servers were shutdown and did enjoy a bit of that, but after all the problems it's been facing, being a good game shouldn't be enough to keep it steady.

It can be pay to play though. Its like crack the first hit is always free then your pawning your grandma's jewelry for trips to eorzea.

When you stick around through as many problems as the game has been having, and some pretty dubious things SE has been doing with it, it stops becoming fandom and starts becoming drone behavior. I also never said I didn't like the game.

Pretty sure once the servers are stable, the previous issues are no longer a factor.

It's not like in a month from now people will be like "Well, I really wanted to get into a new MMO, and I've heard that FFXIV is one of the best ever, maybe I should try that. Actually, nevermind, I know almost nobody could log on in the first week and a half.".

That just doesn't happen. The quality of the game is what matters. If the pay model fails, they can change to a F2P model.

This game will have legs, it will not die. And FFXIV 1.0 is completely irrelevant at this point. That was three years ago, this is a completely new game.
 
for ps3 and controller users. I use that target filter customization of L1+Face buttons but when I set it to enemies and target one using it it all of a sudden switches back to all or others. Is there a way to keep if from switch once it's sets to enemies?

Yup. She has that Lacus Clyne esque way of talking that I instantly recognize. Her and Miyuki Sawashiro are pretty easy to recognize.

Dat feel when your tank is tanking, your healer is healing, and you and the other DPS guy are DPS-ing HARD. And you reach a boss and DAT DUNGEON BOSS theme kicks in. And you are in the zone. This game, guys. THIS GAME!

I can login no problems, but I just got DCed on the way into, and out of, a single-person story instance. :(. 3102 for less than 3 min though, and I was back in.

Too bad these moments are few and far between because most tanks are retards who can't hold aggro for shit.

Just do Sultantree, it's a solo thing. It will also start a string of story quests that will pretty much level you to 15. Duty finder is I believe not available to you yet, could be wrong though.

Got in after only about 7 minutes of 1017's on Ultros a little bit ago, not too bad.

Thanks, I'm glad, cause I'm just doing hunting quests now. I'm almost to level 10 as a gladiator just doing those. Got my ass kicked on a couple fates though. Sure could use a better weapon than this gladius.

The gladiator quests from the gladiator guild give gladiator weapons.
 
Do they have a time frame on when they'll open up character creation on full servers? I'd love to play on Utros but it won't let me. Is server transfers going to cost money?

Ultros was already full when I created my character. I refreshed the server list a couple of times and it became available.

Refresh cooldown is 2/3 minutes.
