First of all, I'm in Canada and my local service provider is going to be rolling out some new plans and I wanted to get an idea of just exactly how bad they'd be ripping me off =P

Right now I have

17down
2 up

and I pay ~$65

I realize this is already a huge ripoff to many of you, but there's not much choice in my area so I kinda have to deal with it, but I would like more upload.

What would you consider a normal price per month for 150 download and 15 upload?

30Mb down / 5Mb up.

One arm and one leg a month. It doesn't matter where they come from as long as they are human, and must be delivered via dead drop 250 miles away between 12AM and 3AM on the last thursday of every month.

450 roubles ($14) a month gets you a maximum of 40 Mbit down during the day and 100 (Ethernet's limit) during the night, which is 1 AM - 9AM. Not so sure about upload, it doesn't seem to be limited per se, but I'm typically getting 20-30 on my Wi-Fi router. No traffic caps, of course.

Compared to this, some of you guys are getting some really shitty deals.

$70 a month, around 9 mbps down, 0.9 mbps up (according to Speedtest.net). In reality, Steam will usually download at about 1.1mbps.

Semi-regional Australia you guys.

Germany

20€, 32 mbit down/2 mbit up

No cap + unlimited landline calls

60 bucks for 20mbps down and 4mbps up.

Comcast with no real other competition for cable at all or internet unless I want slower speeds

Cambridge ma (just outside of boston) for the record

$60, trubo road runner / Time Warner Cable.

I get 30MB down / 2 MB up, no cap

Eh, just did speed test and only got 17MB down..

I pay zero. Work pays for it.

The Telstra plan i'm on can be 30mbp/s download and 2mbps upload for $70 per month

Speedtest.net fluctuates between 19-28mbps download and 0.9 - 1.20 mbps upload.

Steam can vary, if it's busy worldwide due to the sales going on i am lucky to hit 1mbps. I'll usually get anywhere from 2.2 - 4mbps

$35 for Clearwire Wireless

1mbps down

0.3mbps up

Although it can change at a moments notice and it can burst at about 10mbps down at times...its mostly crap. A lot of times on speedtest i'll get faster upload than download! I'm at work, but will do a speedtest at home. I used to sometimes get 0.2 down and 0.3 up lol

There's nothing else in our area except for mostly stuff like verizon data cards and shit. No dsl, cable or fiber(lol).

Now that Clear has been brought out by Sprint, they say it will still keep going for people with Clear, but who knows for how long. If they go out, i'm not sure what i'll do.

$72 for 200gb allowance a month.

Gladstone Australia.

Not quite the 100mb NBN you get promised but still reasonable.

Edit. Picked a closer server, for some reason it keeps thinking I am in the middle of SA lately....
