I would give any amount of money to see what those pre-order numbers were.
I'm not sure.
What I am sure of is you can't get much worse than releasing an average of less than 2 games a year for almost 4 years. Did the N64 even have output that bad? They didn't have third party support to hide behind.
What is the end goal in your mind? The complete abandonment of gaming? That doesn't seem like a good strategy.
Not sure at you are suggesting...
Are they apologizing to first, second or third tier countries?

We will eventually find out because Microsoft has to release real sales to investors.
All is forgiven Microsoft and Major Nelson.
I really dislike how they're trying to sell "no longer fucking you" as a selling point.
Tier 1 in Europe that are getting FIFA or Forza 5 free.
Complete abandonment, no. Further marginalization, yes. We are the pimple on the ass of the real market they are chasing. They'll pretend we are important for the first year or two because they need early adopters while the price tag is high. Once the price comes down, and the production level goes up, it will be the 360 post-Kinect all over again.

Perfect.
Pre-orders are an outrageous way to buy a console. People need to go personally in a shop, see the console & decide with their eyes.

This is a joke, right?

I'm not that sure if you are even serious... online at the time was too much primitive & 2 ports were an issue? O_O In any case they have introduced the modem some years later when online started to have some relevance.

Everybody at Xbox is a gamer.
I don't much care for Major Twoface.
The PS4 will cost $399 and feature comparable computing power, high-definition graphics and online features to the Xbox One. Microsoft's console is pricier at $499, but the system comes bundled with a Kinect sensor.
I've never seen him praise Sony... care to explain?
Yup. I just checked again. He welcomed the DRM policies and defended the Xbox One around May-June-July.Of course it is. Check the few Xbox One megathreads that were around during E3 and the months before to see just how "offended" he was.
If he was offended by anything it was people coming in to those threads and saying anything negative about MS.
Frankly, that's how I see the whole gaming market shifting over the next decade (and arguably, it already has starting with the Wii/DS and moving on to mobile/tablet. There's only so many of us out there to support "core" gaming and as budgets continue to rise, publishers need more potential consumers.

If he thought it was awesome then, why is he saying everything is forgiven? Shouldn't he be mad now?
This is like when you join AA you have to go around apologizing to all the people you screwed over when you were a drunk. Microsoft was drunk on power and thought they could pull off all that anti-consumer bullshit. Now they have sobered up and are doing the tour of shame.
