I think people should realize that they've confirmed that they will reveal the launch date here a while ago.

The surprise must be an earlier release date than expected. But Sony must have games suited for the Japan audience at launch. Makes no sense to only have western games except Knack on day one.

I think it's going to be one of those games we'll have to play for ourselves to "get" it. I remember first playing SoTC and thinking it was dumb until I crested that cliff and encountered the first Colossus. That's when I knew I was playing something amazing.

I think the "beyond expectations" probably means its launching a bit earlier than most expect. Isn't the consensus guess that it's not launching until early 2014? A December launch in Japan would "exceed expectations," would it not?
