I think we will see at least one thing. You're also forgetting TGS is also not far away and we'll see games there for sure. I bet you Microsoft will be crapping themselves after TGS... wishing they had also those awesome Japanese games for the Xbox One.
 
A Japan release date is within expectations I think. "Beyond expectations" really causes some hype, although the meaning could be lost in translation?
 
Not expecting anything other than the Japanese release date. I kind of hope we get the CPU clock speed but that's just to satisfy my own curiosity and I don't think it's too likely.
 
I think they'll be some kind of PS4 torne announcement here.

Is Hiroshi Kawano going to be driving this train? I expect him to show given that he is Japan's Jack Tretton/Jim Ryan.
 
Feels like the news people have been waiting for has got to be TLG.

But it could also just mean the release date, since that would be the news people in Japan would be waiting for.

Some people are waiting on Demon's Souls 2, right?

As someone not living in Japan, it's hard to speculate what the news they've been waiting for is. Obviously, they should only be waiting on the stuff I'm waiting on though.

Beyond expectations could mean japanese launch this year.
Which is something that probably japanese gamers aren't expecting after all focus has been on US/Europe during these months with no announced plans for them.

Which is why the tweet was immediately deleted. However, that doesn't stop GAF and the rest of the internet from going nuts about it. The fact that the "news we've been waiting for" tweet was so quickly deleted is telling. We shouldn't get hyped for this. General expectations are now already higher than what we'll get.

Yep. It could very easily be that "the news we've been waiting for" is just the announcement of the Japanese launch, and the tweet was deleted so quickly because they didn't want people taking it the wrong way.
 
Too lazy to find the original source, is this from a Japanese website, blog etc that has been translated. If so then it's is basically PS4 Japan release date.

Of course, but it's the most anticipated "surprise" they could make. I mean, already 99% of the people expect Japan release this year from this ad. Kind of spoils it.

Dunno, maybe the hype doesn't let me think reasonably.
 
Japanese launch of PS4 is Nov. 15th, 2013 and The Last Guardian is a launch title. Oh and it's a world wide launch title.

Seems to me like an announcement of the PS4 and release date for Japan. I'm not expecting anything else and certainly not TLG.
 
God. The mere mention of Persona 5 makes me shudder in anticipation.

I'm not expecting anything beyond a release date though.

100% release date, also the date will be a surprise as will be better than expected I think.


Also strong possibility of showing VR Off as they will need dev support early.
