Sony Promising The News We've "Been Waiting For" Tomorrow

We already have known for a minute that they were gonna announce the date at this conference. They revealed that when they announced it. That's what's expected. What we don't know is the surprise they are hyping.

I still say the surprise being that its launching this year makes no sense.

They don't say it's a surprise. in fact, saying it's the "news we've been waiting for" sort of hints that it's not a surprise, it's something everyone knew was coming, like a japanese release date.

I'm thinking its just a reference to Asian release dates, mentions of surprise or no.

And I guess some will be surprised at a 2014 Japanese launch date anyway ;)

fter E3 & gamescom, it's time to #TGS2013!

SCEJA will hold the press conference before the show, we can say: what you expected or unexpected news will also be announced. Fans who really want to get the first-hand update, please join us for live stream @2PM SGT tomorrow or stay tuned to live updates @PlayStation Asia, a pleasant surprise is waiting for you, Live-stream website: http://bit.ly/12BOMX5

Obvious translation issues aside , they hint at both news we expect and surprises.

Also just so people are sure the release date being revealed has been confirmed since the 21st

Sony said it will announce the launch timing of the PS4 in Japan at a Sept. 9 news conference. Sony declined to say when the launch date would be, but the expectation is that Japan will not be first this time around.

Prepare to cry...

...again.

It better be The Last Guardian, I bought my PS3 for the very specific purpose that I would be able to play that game.

Demon's Souls 2.

That would be monumental for the fans. However given dark souls 2 is around the corner I wonder whether another highly similar game would draw as much attention at this time. Afaik demons will always remain PS exclusive and so if they ever decide to make another they may as well take their time.

I'm hyped! But realistically I don't see much happening tomorrow. I don't really get the point of this event when they are gonna have a conference in TGS in a week anyway.
The big things will surely come in TGS if they are launching very soon in Japan so aside from the date I don't really expect them to announce anything other than one or two games at the most, show a few trailers that we have already seen so far and talk business.
And then the show will end with Hashimoto-san...

This is somewhat true as well. They have said in the open the release date will be revealed so why would they allude to it now instead of saying it. TLG hope rising!

TLG or bust! Please don't be anything less.

If it isn't TLG I'm going mental.

Okay P5 for the PS4 will do too.

Just don't be the Asian release date pls.

FFVII remake is the flagship title for the VR headset.

Limited edition headset looks like a SOLDIER helmet.

don't, please, i couldn't take that disappointment.

Even though i can't use VR headsets properly and I don't think ff7 would translate well to it, i'd still be disappointed if this doesn't happen now...

So funny that everyone thinks of The Last Guardian. Why does anyone still care about it? It's practically Duke Nukem Forever level of vaporware at this point.
