GTA V has gone gold.

Baha.

I miss robbing houses with Ryder!

Was doing this mission yesterday. Not quite the pain in the ass that I remembered.

I was replaying San Andreas on my PC a few months back. Couldn't even finish it. The game wouldn't let me dive underwater, and I needed to for a mission. :(

Hated that mission for a couple reasons and it's something R* has improved since... It was in an awkward position on the map, in the industrial area that only has that one bridge going to it that is awkward to get to (the bridge crosses over 2 streets that you think should be how you get to that industrial park, but you have to backtrack a couple blocks). So you pick up Ryder, have to drive to a weird location,a nd then Ryder is a total moron. It's also the first group of enemies you fight you have more firepower... Sub machine guns.

The controls of the lift after awkward especially if you don't have a good handle on the camera yet and you'll end up spinning around and dropping pallettes when you want to be moving the camera.

Also, gotta remember to jump off of the lift and shoot the army dudes whenever they come, or else Ryder will get wasted.

Also, driving away is a huge pain in the ass. The truck si slow, again you have to go over that awkward bridge, and then take some tight corners to park it into a random neighborhood that you're not expecting.

Good variety to that mission but it was an annoying one for sure.

The only shitty part of that mission is trying to position the forklift properly so the boxes don't slide off.

Ryder doesn't really help by standing out in the open trading bullets with the enemies like he's in a JRPG though.

I wish I could just look forward to GTAV, but instead I've got this wedding on Saturday that's just a major time drain this week. I'm also marrying the two people who are getting married... so it's just a bunch of worry that I don't feel like dealing with.

I replayed SA recently on the PC, got kinda frustrated with one mission.....

Yeah... It's ultra frustrating until you figure out how to do it. So, Smoke obviously can't hit the broadside of a barn. But, his best chance to hit the guys is to give him enough vertical room... a lot of his bullets hit the top corner of the train. So, you have the best chance to kill those guys by getting vertical height on them whenever possible.

Took me 3 or 4 tries when I replayed it on XBox Originals.

Yeah when it first came out on the PS2 I did it on sheer luck but multiple playthroughs over the years have tought me tricks to deal with certain missions such as this one, just heard it so many times it became almost comical.

Is the EU/UK GTA V digital preorder going up for preload again anytime soon or have Sony removed it until release day ?

I never had a hard time with that Smoke mission either. There's an area a certain amount of feet from the train where he'll hit them if you can maintain the speed, it just seems like the enemies take a hundred more hits to die than normal. But I always managed to finish that mission before we got too far out of the city.

The one that was a real bitch on the ps2 was that infamous RC plane. I'm hesitant to buy SA on PSN just because of that mission lol.

Hated that damn mission. That's where I stopped playing on the PS2 version. i picked up the XBOX version after a couple of years to play BC on my 360 and passed that part in like 2 tries.

It's missions like that that make me extremely grateful for the checkpoint system they finally implemented.

The mission wouldnt have been half as bad if every time you failed they started you right back at the beginning of the chase.

I hated that mission so much on PS2, t'was surprisingly easier on PC though.

That and robbing houses with Ryder wasn't amusing IMO.

I'm downloading SA at the moment too. I'm going crazy off all this hype.

Damn, I want to buy the best version of this game. I would get the ps3 version, but I am always worried about multiplats. Seems like 9/10 times, the 360 version is better.

Speaking of radio stations, Nightride FM is officially not going to happen, isn't it? Seems like the preview site lists all radio stations, unless Rockstar's still keeping a few as a secret. GTA Wiki also states (without any source though) that Kavinsky's tweet about the whole thing was just a publicity stunt.

I still hope for custom soundtrack option...

I thought there was still a chunk of songs that hadn't been revealed to the public yet, unless Im mistaken..

It's been so long since I've played this that I've largely forgotten a majority of the missions. Man. I need to go back and play it. Does it still hold up well?

Looks like they did a great job with the radios once again. However it looks like that, again, there's nothing really interesting for me in the radio choice.

I'm going to make an effort to actually listen to the rap/hip hop stations this time. Never listened to them in the previous games as the music is not to my taste. But I miss out on some of the adverts.

Someone on GTAF asked to Lazlow about Kavinsky and he (Lazlow) said he knew nothing about it.
He also said that revealing you're in the game on Twitter, is the quickest way to get taken out of it, so who knows what happened.
Maybe they did take him out, lol.
No, they wouldn't take out an entire radio worth of licensing for this.

I havent paid much attention to the specific stations, but is there anything similar to the Journey station in IV? That was my fav. Id sit in the back of a cab, request that station and stare out the window losing myself for the entire trip.

Worldwide FM is the closest thing and it has a great line up.

GTA V and the biggest cliffhanger Breaking bad ending ever, both one solitary week away. It's going to feel like a month. Christ, help me.

"Supply Lines" is the worst mission in San Andreas. It's not a story mission, though, so most people just skipped it instead of dealing with the frustration.

It is the last mission that Zero (David Cross) gives you, with the RC Plane.
