Isn't the vita region free? I might consider doing that myself since it comes out there first.
Was the Vita's UI ever updated for dpad control?
Sony officially has no idea what to do with the Vita anymore
I think this is 5V. USB charged! Nice touch.Hmm, I checked the press release but didn't see whether this will have multi voltage like my PS3 Slim. Will import day one if that's the case.
The 544p , or even sub 544p VITA games resolution is too low for 1080p HDTV display, it might kill user's incentive when they really see VITA TV on screen.
Does this have any built in memory? Or is it all memory card based like the Vita itself?
It's still the Vita's OS. You'll be playing a selection of emulated PS1 and PSP games, but nothing else. Please allow emulators

This might be the perfect retrogamer machine.
What resolution do CoD games run at? I just know it's below 720p, and people seem to be ok with that.

Eh seems to be piggy backing the "home entertainment" thing Microsoft is doing, not a fan....seems like a Roku Box with less channels that plays PS1 games

The camera games like Playroom won't work on remote play regardless but most PS4 games will function fine. What are the restrictions for PS4 remote play? It says "enjoy most of the PS4 games". Which ones will not work?
What a weird device. I guess this is part of their strategy to slowly back out of the dedicated handheld business.

I think you'd be surprised (and depressed) at just how few people actually give a shit.
No 1080p? Bummer.
AV output 720p, 1080i, 480p
Why import?
Suddenly the 2DS doesn't look all that stupid.
So I have a question,
Do people here see value in a $100 purchase if they are getting a PS4 but already have a Vita? I'd want to hear thoughts from that group as it's where I fall.

So, this means Giantbomb can do quicklooks with this thing right? That's great news.
Not sure how this will affect games that REQUIRE use of vita's features like gyro and touch (uncharted, I'm looking at you, as probably the hardest to replicate on this).

if its a 2nd gen atv, it can fetch a pretty penny....

What the christ is this, announce a video game device out of nowhere month??

Is there any reason to buy this if you already have a Vita?
Outputting to tv is very cool, but since there are no touch controls there would be so much you couldn't do...
OOoOh it does happen to be 2nd gen. Why is it worth more?

It's a $99 Netflix/YouTube box with PlayStation game* support, and it can be a PS4 sling box.
That's the elevator pitch.
*jawdropped*
Out of nowhere and boom I need it!
