Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | September 2013 | Token Indie Thread

I just realized TV Vita's main market could potentially be post-ban China, going by what Pachter was saying about Wii/PS2 being the dominant "middle class" potential price range.

Say what you will but I'm finding this intruging. The character designs are just so funny.

I just completed Soul Sacrifice! The story, that is. I've only done about half the Avalon Pacts. I'm currently 40/56 Life/Soul, but I only got Life up that high to unlock Vulcan (gotta get all dem Black Rites, after all). Will probably aim for around 30/70 in the end, after I get the 1/99 Trophy. I was generally a melee build, since I suck at aiming, and blasted my way to victory with my Ice Sword, Lightning Axe and Fire Pitchfork. The plot and aesthetic design were really enjoyable, and I loved the whole Arthurian Myth-meets-Berserk feel of the game (even if they changed all the character names, the whole Grail/Avalon/Druids vs Romans thing came through fairly clearly).

The game was amazing, and *so* addictive. And the Black Rites are so fun; props to Excalibur since you fashion an evil sword out of your own heart.

I hope that Delta's upgrades come out as DLC, or that at least the save file will be transferrable (assuming it comes out in the West). Really looking forward to SS2, if it comes out.

Now I need to get back to P4G, Gravity Rush and VLR.

I just checked and every game I'm interested in is compatible with the Vita TV, I'm super excited... can't wait for Sony to announce it for the west! I was going to buy a Vita yesterday, can't believe it now!

What an amazing week this is for Vita, particularly with Killzone and Rayman Legends out now and in my Vita (and I love Spelunky on it too). Man, Killzone and Legends are both good though, truly awesome stuff.

Again for the new page

You should still buy a Vita IMO.

Ya he can play the Vita tv at home and have a the regular Vita for going around and incompatible games.

instead of Vita TV, I'm thinking of actually getting an extra OledVita before they go the way of the dodo, my Vita is new and fine but I want to keep oled version just in case (will keep it sealed) $200 is not that much.

What does that mean? They are no longer available? I always seem to miss these things.

GTA will be released next week for free.

Rayman Origins will be released the week after for free. they will stay up for free for 1 month I believe.

So right now you can download the games that have been released for free within the past month, but as of tomorrows store update some will be leaving. so you may want to check to see if you want any of the games that will be leaving before it's too late!

Might do this. If I can I'll find a Soul Sacrifice red Vita I'll buy and keep it sealed in case of emergency.

From soul sacrifice delta

edit: look like the berserker armor

The PSP version was free on PS+ and I've played the demo and even recorded a track from it. Its a great game and with gameplay play faster than soul sacrifice and monster hunter.

Seriously? I think gameplay is faster in Soul Sacrifice. I'm playing the demo and i'm using the fastest weapons I can get. In God Eater I used the short sword and machine gun (both the fastest) and found it slower.

I'm going to buy Delta when it hits EU. The SS demo is nice, but having an expansion 6 months later I prefer to wait and play some other games instead.

I finally found out the name of that game during the upcoming Vita games trailer that I thought looked interesting. It was called Akiba Strip 2.

Here's a trailer (NSFW)

Is a brawler where you have to... strip girls, right? The name is kinda funny and the game is sooo bizarre than I actually (despite I hate that trend in Japanese industry) may buy it for the lol.

I thought about doing the same as you. But I think I'd be killed if I spend 200€ in a device i don't need.

The new batch of PSVita the Best games will be released on October 10th:

Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Ys: Foliage Ocean in Celceta
Ciel no Surge
Soul Sacrifice
Dream Club Portable Zero
Shinobido 2
Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational
some Konami Mahjong game
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection

There's reason to believe 2000 will phase out the 1000 models. Sony typically changes the product naming schemes for side by side devices:

PSVita PCH-1000
PSVita PCH-2000
PSVita TV VTE -1000

PSP 1000
PSP Slim 2000
PSP Slim & Brite 3000
PSPgo N1000
PSP Street E1000

The Japanese Vita 2000 press release said that the 3G will only be available in the original model, but that may be until supply is gone.

As a random query, what are the chances of Atelier Totori Plus *ever* going on Sale? (on EU PSN: Its more expensive than Meruru!)? I generally dislike spending full price for digital versions of games, but since there is no retail copy at all in the best I don't have much choice.

Well, that seems like a done deal at this point.
Well, that's good. I'm done with these kickstarters though. This morning, it seemed like Project Phoenix was asking 120$ for a Vita key.

No thanks, pal. Pledge removed.

It's assumed, given every other product revision ever.
Well, if they consider this a revision, yes.
The 3DS XL didn't replace the old 3DS and 2DS obviously didn't replace shit so they'll be actually manufacturing 3 versions of the same console at the same time.

By completing, do you mean only going through the main story? I don't know how anyone could get through the dual Illecebra and Phoenix/Gryphon fights with just a melee build.

Heh, yeah I meant that. In terms of the Avalon Pacts I've completed one through five, and have about a mission or two left for six and seven. Haven't got to those fights yet, but I am not looking forward to them. I think the Illecebra Gemini fight is in Eight or Nine, which I haven't done any of yet.

I'm pretty sure that $120 for a Vita-key is misunderstood. I read it as if you want those special in-game bonus stuff for Kickstarter backers, you can get it at the $120 tier and we would give you a PSN code to redeem later.

hmm. I really hope MightyNo9 makes it to Vita soon (heck, Inafune! announce it for the Vita first just for fun :P)

hmmm. I really don't get the memory card prices. if Sony charged half the price, I would spend that money saved on more vita games (that I would probably never play) lol

I played dragon's crown and i felt bad for those who will play it on a lcd and for the game itself because only few will see its true beauty...

Shahid's big third-party game that will hook people for hours (and begins with the letter P)... Phantasy Star Nova?

Please be localized.

Wait, was the P game and the big third party game the same game? I assumed the P game was Proteus and the third party game was Football Manager.

I was in Tokyo in June and realized I have many friends who play it regularly. (It was through these friends and their twitter posts of screenshots that I discovered the game) and the links to girls cosplaying as the characters or other... random stuff...

I'd love to see an English version to see what the fuss is and if the game is actually interesting or if people just play it for the artwork...

I completed Uncharted: GA today. A good addition to the series although aiming is a bit tricky if you want to get a headshot and the touch controls are mainly terrible addition. It is definitely a game worth buying/getting a ps plus subscription for.
