I'm only lvl34 on war and I already had flash and provoke from gladiator, so... it's just the matter of using overpower/flash for aoe and the usual combos for single mobs until warrior is unlocked at 30 >.>

Then you get an ability that makes you look as if you're going ssj as a warrior, please be excited!
 
Anyone know any tricks for joining the Ultros server? My friend has been trying to get on a for a couple days now.

Edit: Save mats for other jobs or sell some/all of it for money. Some lower level stuff isn't worth much. You'll start getting more expensive mats in later levels, which is pretty much the same as for miner. You can always make easy money farming shards/crystals.

Man, this 20+ minute wait to get into AK is brutal. Even with a full party and queuing from all the same server. Reserving the instance takes so long. x_x

The post that was linked under you is a good bet. But I will say from what I've been following for the past week, that doesn't get updated as often as the restrictions change. For instance around 2-5 am EST there has been servers locking and unlocking at random. It probably depends on how many people are online or something.
 
Spent 90 minutes waiting for Sastasha via duty finder, this is such a drag. Can't progress as I chose a DPS instead of a tank class :(

I tried for 3 days at very off hours (12-3AM MST) and Ultros never once opened as well as Cactaur and Moogle. All the other servers opened/closed periodically though. I gave up and joined Leviathan.

Same thing happened to me and then again with the following dungeon.

Not having a party is a pain in the ass, and no one in GAF seems to be playing in Exodus.

No one on gaf seems to be playing on Shiva and if they are they don't want to party up with someone they don't know.

I was really enjoying my time with this game but this roadblock is a real downer.

I know that pain man. Did all the hunting logs available for my class, all the sidequests, bazillion of fates, etc....I'm stuck with this crappy story mission.

Hopefully I'll get in tonight and make some progress :/

We can try to party up for Satasha, though I don't promise anything as far as my performance on my GLD on Shiva, if that's OK with you. Look for Lea Monde in a couple minutes.
 
BTW with Duty Finder I find that if I party up with a friend (doesn't matter the level, as he / she will sync), we get placed into a party much faster that queueing up by myself.

Thanks for the offer, I'm not looking for the god tier player just someone who wants to progress too :)

Though I've played for 6 hours and its after midnight so in done for the day. I will be on again like 18 hours time :/

Infuriate looks so awesome at lv50, especially when I pop it before a boss pull. Ifrit doesn't know what's about to hit him, bwahaha.

Crit everything and stay out of the bad.

Seriously though, the key to the Warrior class is making the most of your self-healing. You absolutely need to get PGL to 12 and GLD to 22. Use Bloodbath, Internal Release, and Berserk together with Unleashed whenever you can. If you're going to take a big unavoidable hit, line up an Inner Beast right after. Rotate through your other cooldowns one after the other so that you are usually taking reduced damage. If you need snap aggro, Flash is more reliable than Overpower, and Provoke is your 'oh shit it's going to kill the healer' button.
 
Has anyone else had their window minimize from time to time when running it in full screen?

Idk what the F its doing, but its super annoying if I'm playing on the couch and in a FATE.

Rolling a Thaumathurge on Leviathan to play with a RL friend. Hopefully won't throw my off my Pugilist game on Ultros too much.

Honestly, I hope we see a pre-2.1 patch to fix up some of the issues. I finished up my crafting class and now I'm a bit more focused on endgame and I'm incredibly worried about what the game may be asking me to do...

So everybody says I need Darklight gear to do Bahamut's Coil. Thats fine, I have no problem doing that. What I do take issue with is that running Ampadors Keep 60+ times is, by far, the most efficient way. Doing anything else, except for the "1-n-dun" Primal runs for Relic, just ends up being counter productive.

Holding back Crystal Tower seems to have left a huge hole in end game progression. Primals should give a lot more Tomes and drop actual darklight gear, the weapons are nice but you're throwing the thing away the second you kill Titan. There should be a version of Castrum/Praetorium that have no cutscenes. WP Tomes of Philosophy should also match AK. I think these types of changes would help make en a bit more diverse.
 
the shitty speed run mechanics in Amdapor Keep and gold sellers shouting in towns for hours unscathed could almost make me quit the game. how can you go live with a game full of broken dungeons like this as a veteran. it also sucks that the community does practically anything stupid just for progress.
 
I can't help but wonder if people are either approaching the game wrong or the game is encouraging people to act this way or...what. I'm not sure. I guess after so many years of WoW and its ilk, I can't be surprised with how players are treating both each other and the game itself.
 
Dark Devices is so painful if you're not a BLM, SCH, or ARC.

When you're in a group and they kick you for an AoE class to make room for those classes, then blacklist and cuss you out because you kill the lambs, something is wrong.

Now I clear DD as soon as I can. Bitter? Yep. Dick move? Yep. But I've been kicked/not invited to groups for DD three times because I'm not the right class and I want to move on.

I did manage to do a Satasha on Shiva and got a really great group. The archer in the party didn't even let me mark, she was laying the marks for me, I just had to pull and keep stuff on me and her and the Arcanist would drop them dead. Great healer too. I'm just sad that I lost aggro for a second or two 2/3 times while cleaning the various mobs, but I did manage to do good enough I think (it netted me a new friend, since the Archer seems to be on Shiva too).

When the party works, this game is freaking fantastic, even at the lower levels.
 
So warrior GAF. How is it at high levels? Pretty active combat? I switched servers and decided to try warrior instead of paladin. I've read warrior is kind of like death knight in wow because of the self healing.

The self healing is pretty much negligible in dungeons.
