It's less about the game itself, but more about other substantiating factors: Kamiya (director of the game) has been visiting Nintendo regularly in recent weeks, even posting pics on Twitter; he and Sakurai are also buddies, and they have also been in talks as of late. It's all a bunch of speculation, but the chances of seeing /something/ Kamiya-made in SSB4 is a real possibility in my mind, and I think that Wonder Red is the only of his characters that belongs entirely to Nintendo at this point.

I'm completely sold on this being a Galaxy stage, but I think it's also possible (but less likely considering the shading) that it's Final Destination or a Kirby stage (based on one of the many space areas of the games).

Fair point, I guess we haven't seen a Star Fox stage yet. I don't think Star Fox usually has such busy space backgrounds, though, at least as far as stars and nebulas are concerned. They tend to focus more on asteroids and spaceships exploding and the like.
It's really just the color scheme of the skybox (Mario Galaxy absolutely loved using a black to blue transition of colors to make outer space seem vast but fascinating) and the rim lighting going on with Kirby and his hammer that makes me feel like it's most strongly emulating the style of the Galaxy games.
What a wasted power up that was.
Only used in the observatory in 1 and wasn't even back in 2. Bah.

Forgot to reply to this post earlier, but yeah with games able to be patched I'm sure any kind of exploit will be fixed swiftly. The best we can hope for are models, textures, and sounds/music to be imported into Brawl.
I'm still hoping for customizable colors ala SoulCalibur. That would be nice.

I know it'll never happen, but I still think every fighting game should go the Tekken route with customizing characters. I want to spend 2 hours being indecisive about which miniskirt I want Marth in or whether I should go with sparkly hot pink or a more rainbow flair on Jigglypuff's giant novelty sombrero. Maybe throw Wario in there with fishnet stockings and stilettos.
Man, Tekken is the best dress up game.

That would be amazingly cool, but also pretty much impossible. They would have to completely redesign stuff to imitate the yarn aesthetic, which would be crazy time-consuming.
I definitely think we'll get some kind of Epic Yarn stage, and they'll probably make the characters 2D on it at least. And maybe Prince Fluff will even show up as an Assist Trophy!

I'm really hoping for Zoness. Such a pretty area, and a good opportunity for a water-based stage that isn't as gimmicky as the ones in Brawl. Plus it's not really an aesthetic that is present in any other games - where else can you get a dead, polluted, industrialized sea?

Based on the description and lighting I'm quite sure it's a Mario Galaxy stage. It's extremely pretty.
I wonder what type of stage it will be, though. Both Delfino Plaza and the Mario 3D Land stage have platforms involved and both move through areas of their respective games, for example.
