Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

People still unsure about Peach f-air, this gif is from the Smash wikia (the yellow circles are the hurt box and the red one's the hit box) and it's a Melee animation.

As you can see the initial lag is because she is going to grab her crown and the end lag is because she is putting it back on her head. The animation in Brawl is almost the same.

Yes, but only for Melee.
For example Princess Peach page and go to the moveset , and before the table that details each move it says For a gallery of Peach's hitboxes, see here., click it and you will be taken to a page with all of Peach animations with hit boxes. So, only check out the pages of the Melee version of each character.

Edit: Peach Up-Smash hit box is not as small as we think it is :P
 
Everyone should probably temper their expectations for a TGS reveal. I don't think we will be seeing any more new characters for the remainder of the year. We'll probably get three more characters over the remaining months to round out the missing profiles at the bottom of the pages for the characters, and beginning next year, as time draws closer to E3, we'll probably begin seeing some new faces show up. We have enough veterans from Brawl that Sakurai can drip a new veteran each month well into next year, and even beyond.

My guesses for the rest of the year?

October - Pokémon character [Pokémon X/Y releases globally on October 12th, a month to day from Peach's reveal.]

November - Sonic the Hedgehog

December - Diddy Kong
 
If there's a Nintendo Direct next week, then Smash Bros. is definitely going to be shown. I'm certain of that. And I can't see Nintendo skipping the biggest Japanese gaming event altogether, especially considering how poorly they are doing.

Biggest show of the year = Nintendo Direct = Smash Bros. = please be excited for next week

If there is, all the Nintendo will likely focus on is pegging missing Japanese release dates missing for a lot of upcoming Wii U and 3DS titles [e.g. Tropical Freeze, Mario and Sonic, Super Mario 3D World, A Link Between Worlds, Mario Party]. We'll probably get some more info about those titles, as well an update on the Wii U Summer update that should be coming soon, but anything beyond that is wishful thinking.
 
It would be nice if Nintendo wouldn't wait until like the night before every time to announce they're doing a direct. It's a little ridiculous that there's less than a week to TGS and we're still speculating as to whether or not there will be one.

In any case, yeah I don't expect anything on Smash if there's a direct. It'll be a heavy push for Tropical Freeze and 3D World especially. Though, who knows, Sakurai is a very difficult man to predict.

I always found it strange his unique way of jumping and running was never shown in Smash Bros. His flutter jump and that unique arms tucked into his sides run he has. I think they'd help a lot to modernize Luigi's moveset.

This would be great, this is something I never thought about that. It'd be a great way to show off his character and how he differs in contrast with Mario.

Also as much as I'd adore seeing a big reveal/trailer at TGS I'm not getting my hopes up, even if we're long overdue. And just because Sakurai tied in his Olimar and Luigi reveals with Pikmin 3 and the Year of Luigi, I don't think we should bet on Sonic being announced this early. Mega Man was a big reveal, but Sonic returning should be a no brainer, but his reveal will still be a (demure) megaton.
 
Sonic in October makes sense as Lost World comes out that Month in all regions and while Brawl was being developed he was revealed in October.
 
If they're going to show a Pokémon character, it's gotta be the Trainer. If Mewtwo is back he's an unlockable.

I think a lot of people are too certain Mewtwo will be back tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed cut.

Even if Mewtwo returns (likely scenario IMO), he wouldn't be revealed before launch. It's way more likely it's the Pokemon Trainer.

Mewtwo strikes as a character who's unlockable. I seriously cannot imagine him being a starter in any roster. He's a legendary Pokemon.

Yeah, I agreed with you there. Plus he got shafted in Brawl, so they are going to surprise the people that mewtwo is back again.

Pretty cool stuff.

Peach's down smash looks pretty damn awesome without the dress. She looks more like a martial artist than a fairy princess.
