"Thats just your opinion" Really i fucking know that already.

Kinda starting to bug me is the term Hyperbole.

I personally enjoy a good ol' fashioned dog-pile.

I never feel bad for the dog piled. Everyone on Gaf gets dog piled once in a while, and there's always a way out. The posters that don't see the light in the darkness are the ones that create a spectacle, nothing more entertaining than someone fumbling around in the dark.

When someone posts 'My body is ready!' Gives me douche chills up and down my spine.

When someone has been sitting on what they think is a hilarious .gif and tries to crowbar it in anywhere at all, whether it makes sense or not.

Should of.

Could of.

Would of.

I have quite a list.

Why does the first post in most threads always have to be contradictory? Someone will take the time to make a well thought out OP, even if it is wrong and the first (and sometimes the kids after tryna be first) will say something like NO, it isn't.

And then after that there'll be a good debate with both agreeing and disagreeing people.

I just don't understand why the first post has to always be that way.

100 people posting the exact same highlights simultaneously from whatever E3 livefeed we're all watching anyway. Literally redundant, makes unreadable threads, and more than likely the major cause of GAF being intermittently unavailable during the period.

"top of page"

"repost because bottom of page"

[brackets]

mostly the first two though, the second one is everyone rediscovering ascii art again.

Also people that don't properly quote posts, and intentionally delete the quote tags so it's impossible to see who they quoted, making it impossible to follow the conversation back when entering a long thread..

I HATE that this guy gets posted in every food thread. Doesn't make me laugh at all.
banana... I feel sorry for you it is great.

Not reading the article on a post, and replying.
This is a huge issue here, especially with most in the gaming side making threads with misleading titles.

Come on, people ending their posts with their nickname is the most annoying thing since forums were created. Like I can't see your username on your post. Should've been the first post.

I really dislike some of these crazy gaming OPs and the pages of people saying how great they are.

I'd have to agree, this has been really irritating to a degree. Even if it's a poorly made ot, instead of talking about the game, there are dozens of replies of people bitching over the quality of the ot, and are suddenly unable to talk about the game. Completely unnecessary.

Counter threads. Every goddamn time.

Original thread: "What's the best story in a game this gen?"

Counter thread a while later: "What's the worst story in a game this gen?"

I don't see this happening as much nowadays, but the first few years after I joined, people had this fucking irritating habit of asking a question without a question mark. It wasn't that they were even being lazy about it. What really pissed me off was that the first letter of the sentence would be capitalized. So it would appear as something like this:

Why is it fun to eat babies

I mean, it would be perfectly fine if it was written like:

why is it fun to eat babies

But people didn't do that. People actually went to the effort of capitalizing that first goddamned word. WHY?!!?

Acronyms. I don't know what your fucking obscure JRPG is and I never will until you say the full title. Stop being so lazy and type out the full title!

Emptyspace talking in the 3rd person. It's not funny or wacky- it's annoying as fuck.

"Thats just your opinion" Really i fucking know that already.

Well said, its almost like you have to insert a few "IMO" just to make sure that people do not reply with "WELL THATS JUST YOUR OPINION!"

It really should not be necessary, as everything we say is our opinion by default

Because It Is Fun To Eat Babies.

People who complain about what others say and do. Almost everyone in this thread. Seriously, it makes you look like a Grammar Nazi in a way. If it bothers you so much, then just ignore it.

Am I the only one noticing less "Am I the only one..." thread titles?

;)

Perhaps it''s not a habit, but I cringe at every there/their/they're and its/it''s error. Sorry.

Acronyms that are illegible to people "not in the know." There are some that are universal, like LOL and IMO that are clearly understood by most internet denizens, but occasionally I run up against ones that I have no contxt for. Or, on the gaming side, I get confused because AC can stand for Animal Crossing and Assassin's Creed. Seriously, take the time to write stuff out if you want to be understood.

Oh, and what is the deal with qq? FFS, WTF? POS! LMAO.

People coming in on a heated thread, pick out one argument that they agree with which is the unpopular opinion, and then proceed to make a post like:

"Get out of here, LOGIC and REASON have no place in this thread. Hurr durr."

It's such a cheap, cheap way to avoid actually discussing something but still post.

My least favorite is when someone posts a thread akin to "Post your favorite action movie sequence here!" and the thread is filled with replies consisting of nothing but YouTube links.

I...I really wish people wouldn't do that.

Also...when people type with ellipses throughout their posts...instead of forming consistent sentences complete with a period at the end...you have no idea how much that sets off my crazy...

Am I the only one noticing less "Am I the only one..." thread titles?

You may be being cute, but they're almost always thread backfires. Case in point: the idiot who tried arguing for killing kids in GTA V.

People on gaf drop fuck to much. There are a ton of examples and it just turns me off when I see it. I pretty much set everybody who does it on my ignore list because I realize that they cannot add anything good to a conversation without having to resort to fuck? Like, really?

"Fucking lol"
"This. Fucking this."
"There was absolutely nothing fucking good about that movie. Fucking nothing."

It just makes you look immature and exposes the lack of a good vocabulary.

well fuck me running, i it must be easy to fucking judge someone based on their fucking language instead of the actual content of their fucking post.

also cunts.

guy posts a thread where he says he's just watched the first episode of show X, people post gifs from all other seasons and discuss episodes without spoiler tags. I mean what the fuck.

Also qouting the post below you.
