The 3DS can't handle it of course.WHERE ARE HIS PIKMINS?
Isn't it weird that the border says 3DS when it's really a Wii U shot?

Obviously this is last week's shot btw.
Happens to me all the time when I'm refreshing like a madman.Isn't it weird that the border says 3DS when it's really a Wii U shot?

Man, people still don't get how silly their post will look in another 24 hours when they link directly to the Smash Bros. website's daily.jpg, huh?
Anyways, the Miiverse post:
WHERE ARE HIS PIKMINS?
Eh? I imgur.com'd it
The 3DS can't handle it of course.
Well, it's been a while since we saw Olimar...
Hah, Sakurai plays Captain Obvious with his Miiverse comment: "Here's the 3DS version of Captain Olimar and an upside down Link."
intriguingI'm about to go into a tunnel.
Trains.
No time.
Fuck this game.
This game is stunning on 3DS. Are 60 frames per second confirmed... right?
1080p 60 fps confirmed yes
1080p 60 fps confirmed yes, we dont know about the 3DS version but im sure sakurai is gonna try to maintain 60fps on the handheld version.
So...the new green pikmins attribute is limitless courage?
When and where was this confirmed?
Yeah I know that on WiiU the developers aim for 60fps on full HD, but I was wondering about 3DS, because if they get the game as fluid it will be no doubt the most impressive graphic achievent on the console.
melee and brawl were almost technical achievements so he possibly could get it all up and running on the 3DS with 60fps
I hope people are not serious about Oli losing his Pikmin...
Olimar's entire moveset is based around having Pikmin on hand and using them to fight for you. He would be a useless character if he lost all of his one set of Pikmin, which I don't see happening at all.He could work like Kirby's Olimar hat in Brawl. The Pikmins appear immediately for his attacks and then die afterwards. That'd likely mean the 3DS characters would have a different balance compared to the Wii U's though.

Kirby is different; that is only a temporary power.
Ohhh, I read your comment wrong. My bad. What? He wouldn't be useless. He'd actually be stronger than before since he'd technically always have Pikmin appear for his attacks. That's why he'd need to be rebalanced if he ends up working like that in the 3ds.
No Pikmins to the 3DS version, I see.
Olimar can't use Pikmin in the 3DS version confirmed!!

Anyways, the Miiverse post:
I know, but I was referring to Richie, who must have done a stealth edit (like I just did in my previous post, funnily enough). It's really no big deal, though.

Although, if they did that, then reducing the number of Pikmin in the Wii U would have been pointless. If that's really what's going on, they might have tried to have 3 Pikmin in the 3ds version but it didn't work well, and that's why it took so long for Olimar 3ds shots. And, now, if we are really getting an Olimar that only gets Pikmins to attack in the 3ds, they could go back and increase the amount of Pikmins in the Wii U version, since they aren't matching perfectly anyway.
Ohhh, I read your comment wrong. My bad.
Yeah, I can see this happening as a solution if they have trouble with managing so many Pikmin at once, but I think getting him to work as he regularly does should be the priority.
I love how when something that should be there isn't there, we all assume its been cut.![]()

I like that Olimar's 3DS outline doesn't extend to his fishbowl helmet. This means we've seen everyone who's been announced in the 3DS version, right?
Nice job.
