You know, not all games need to have you jump around and collect golden coins to gain points, whilst saving a princess.
It would be sad thing if games weren't allowed to strive to be more than what they were 20 years ago.

Ahhh the hate for Cage and his games continues...most of the folks posting negative comments in these threads would never buy his games anyways, so why even bother entering these threads. Let other folks enjoy.

Loved the music and really looking forward to it when I have more time to play. I hope it sells really well to shut up the haters just like HR.
 
The game's special edition has already sold out on Amazon UK.

If Heavy Rain sold like it did with the cast that it had, and this game has Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe billed as actors in this game, you can bet your ass Beyond will do very well.

I bought mine from Tesco. Prefer the one without Ellen Page on it.

Heavy Rain was a success, i dont really see a reason why a game with two big stars in it wont be a success....if it isnt i will actually be surprised.

She played Crash Bandicoot on PS1, so she is fine in my book. Also the whole thing with The Last of Us was just a misunderstanding. She simply was annoyed, because people are giving her props for playing Ellie on Twitter, even though she never had anything to do with it. She even congratulated Ashley Johnson for her work, so everything is fine.

Yeah, could be the first game in a long time doing well with a female protagonist.
 
The running animation is pretty awkward in those IGN videos, and sixxaxis is back! I can't remember the last time I used that.

On topic. The more I see of Beyond, the more I'm intrigued by it. Baby Ellen Page freaks me out, though.
 
I really want to be excited but the look of humans in these games is such an intense turn-off for me. It's the video game equivalent of The Polar Express.
 
This is the game I'm most hyped for, looks so epic. Psychic mercenary Ellen Page go go go!

That's not a spoiler, just what I assume is happening when they show her in camo in the commercial, I'm pretty much media blackout on this.

At the end of the game, it will be revealed that Ellen is doing an inception on Willem Dafoe. And Christopher Nolan will appear alongside David Cage asking you if you liked their new project.

In the forest? The IGN guys are playing rather weird there. It's actually pretty cool how she touches boulders and trees when running near them and how she dynamically ducks etc.

Interesting. I couldn't watch Polar Express, because it was so creepy. But I have no problems with this game or games in general most of the time. They probably haven't entered the valley for me yet.

not really.

considering previous entries from both: gta4 disappointed EmptySpace, heavy rain surprised him.

and gta5 is something that everyone has largely experienced before, while the concept in beyond two souls is still quite new, a cross between adventure games, action games, and cinematic games.

No. I like GTA, but I'm way more hyped for Beyond. Will play GTA later.

It is a game spanning 15 years. So it is not about "one thing". It is about a very complicated life with up and downs. She will have different jobs and different friends over this period. A lot can happen in 15 years.
 
Great, can't wait for David Cage's next "lets spend millions of dollars to make a b-movie thriller with choose your own adventure elements in awkward CGI." They could have made this as a series of youtube videos and it'd have been better by Cage's own standards lol.
