Ultros Jaf I need your help once more. I am terrified of PUGs and I need some kind and perhaps patient jaffers to help me run through Haukke Manor. I'm at the door, haha.

I'm at work right now, and not in thw JAF (hehe) free company, but I'd run with you right now if I could. I love Haukke Manor. So fun.

I hope Cutter's Cry is interesting. We'll probably be doing that this weekend.

God, I wish undyed velveteen wasn't so freaking expensive.

Get BTN to 31, BSM to 15 and WVR to 28 and just grind linen. My weaver is 28 and I'm all set to skip diremite hell.
Now skipping the wool range... I'm not sure what the hell I'm going to do. There are some none felt/wool synths but the highest they go are like lv42/43.
I might just burn through like 20-30+ leves to get 45-50.

My good friend in my FC can make it right now, but it's really difficult to get her to just spend a day or two and just commit to her weaving. I'm ready to do it myself, but I'm already stretched out far with LTW and BSM. I don't think I can handle another crafting job right now.

The timeframe Yoshi gave to Kagari in that interview was 6 months after the launch, so given their "every 3 month" update plan, it being a feature of 2.2 is probably a safe bet?

Finally got the game and am so far enjoying it quite a bit. I have a question though.

I see tons of people grinding FATEs constantly for exp. I would really rather tank dungeons if I can. Are dungeons a viable way to level or should I just stick to FATEs and quests?

i didn't do any real fate grinding. i just grabbed some when they were near. questing + running dungeons multiple times were my main exp source, with guildhests and very few leves. that's when the game is 100% fun up to level 50. nothing should stop you.

My wife is doing FATES (near Burning wall? she tells me) on Ultros with just two other people. This is very weird, I've never seen a fate before without tons of people hoarding it but no one is at these ones.

Totally agreed. I vastly prefer it when everyone wears the current top end undyeable armor and looks identical.

Kills my immersion when people look different from one another at level cap in top end raid gear.

Xenoblade is probably the best comparison. That game had very MMO-ish combat.

Trying to fight them as a mage is no fun. I much prefer being a physical fighter for them.
