With GTAV sucking out a lot of my free time...I should try to get back into the game ASAP. I don't want to be left with no gaffers to help me do dungeons down the line. Goddammit Rockstar...

I just made a new char on Ultros that I will be progressing very slowly with. Hopefully there will still be some folks running lower lovel dungeons. What's the situation with the GAF FC, is it full again?

Thanks!

Is Cutter's Cry part of the story?

Also, who wants to run Qarn a few times?!
You're very welcome!

As for Cutter's Cry, it appears it isn't. I only just now unlocked Brayflox, which I am running constantly for the Battlemage gear. I only have the hat and robe to go before I have the full set! Is their no boots for that set? I can't seem to find any.

Don't skip the intro cutscene, fits the music perfectly.
Of course not! I never skip anything, unless it's my second/third/etc. time there. Even then, I'll sometimes watch the cut-scenes if they're short, such as with Haukke Manor.

So I'm about 2 levels away from 30 on my THM. Question is, should I immediately switch to Archer and level to 15, or is it recommended to wait a bit to get the extra XP bonus I know it grants you for being higher level switching to lower level.

I'd swap immediately. For THM->BLM, the stats boost is very attractive, you get a huge damage buff on three-minute CD to go along with it, and you lose very little now that you can get Physick from Arcanist level 4 too.

Just had a stone vigil run with a tank that never moved out of the red stuff and a Summoner who wore crafting gear because it had higher defense.

Level 40+ changes nothing.

NOTHING.

The stupid moves as a wave. Lowbie is relatively smarter now.

Seriously. I'm 47, but I healed Sastasha or whatever for a FC mate last night, best tank I've ever ran with so far. He actually kept aggro on everything, even when we accidentally pulled like 3 groups one pull.

One thing I was wondering about +1 Relic weapons: Is it a quest like the first relic? Or do you buy it with mythology tomes or something?

It costs 900 mythology tomes for every weapon but the one hand sword, which costs 600 and the shield costs 300.

Finally got the game and am so far enjoying it quite a bit. I have a question though.

I see tons of people grinding FATEs constantly for exp. I would really rather tank dungeons if I can. Are dungeons a viable way to level or should I just stick to FATEs and quests?

On the off chance anybody was in the CM run I just did, I'm sorry. My FC and I got annoyed that a tank couldn't hold aggro and took the piss out of him. Me saying "shh now, only dreams" lead to a wipe because the healers were laughing too much >_>

Late night dungeons runs aren't great for my mind.

It's funny reading from you guys these complaints about elitist player expectations, when every day I see shouts for "learning" groups forming that welcome new players and don't skip cutscenes.

And every time I've wiped with a group, all 4 members apologize and attempt to take the blame.

The community in my experience is fantastic.

Dungeon grinding is possible hell its my preferred way of doing as I like keeping myself well geared, its just that FATE is faster in the higher levels and definitely faster for anyone that isn't a tank or healer due to the amazing long wait time for DPS in dungeons. People make fate grinding parties because the party actions help everyone in the group get max evaluation and the EXP you get for minimal work can be pretty large.

I've experienced both groups. It's been about 70-30 in favour of friendly players right now.

Ugh, wiped several times against story mode Titan just now. Man, that guy is a pain in the arse... :/ Died a few times at the last hurdle (like seriously, only 5% remaining) and the lag time with that straight-line smash he does doesn't help.

Oh well, back to duty finder queue...

By the way, if any of those friendly party members are GAFfers, you have my apologies for my poor contributions (was the Lv 36 DRG clad in green)... :(

How tough is Halatali? Haukke Manor was a big jump up in difficulty from Toto Rak and I know since Hala is an option dungeon, it might be tougher.

There's a jump. Nothing game changing but yeah. Now... as I just said... when you get Qarn shit changes. :P

So how do you get DoH "artifact" and the "relic" main hand tool?

I'm not sure if these are the proper names for them, but I've seen level 50 DoH characters with class specific armor and a blue quality tool.

I can't find anything about it on the interwebs.

You can get one of the tools from the level 50 quest. The other is from an achievement for crafting a ton of items. I'm not sure what the point of the achievement based on is as they have the exact same stats and it's much harder to get. I guess just a trophy item. Either way, each class has two tools you can acquire through those two methods.

The class specific armor is all crafted, mostly by Leatherworker and Weaver. Pretty simple to make. Somewhat expensive depending on materials. The level 50 quest also offers one NQ piece free to get you started.
