Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | September 2013 | Token Indie Thread

Every platform that has Frontier is a platform that never received a real Monster Hunter game.

And two hours ago we didn't think Vita was a platform that would recieve ANY real Capcom game. I don't care about the sales potential, I'm just glad Capcom is bringing a real game to Vita and hope that it leads to more real, and hopefully better, games.

Does it matter? If it does well enough it could pave way for a real MH title.

I like the way you think :)

Dragons Dogma Quest better lead up to a real DD game on the Vita then

Don't put your faith in Capcom,

they screwed over Nintendo with the Capcom 5 and they screwed over Sony with the loss of MoHu. They simply cannot be trusted

So apparently UMvC3 and SFxTK aren't real games. Sorry UMvC3, you don't exist, so I can't play you anymore. Sorry SFxTK, I was prolly gonna buy you eventually, but you're fake as well.

Seriously though, shouldn't there be a 'more' between 'ANY' and 'real'?

Ummm they haven't been supporting Vita for a long time. I'm not saying they have never supported the platform.

The Capcom 5? You mean stuff like Resident Evil?
Cause there was Revelations and Revelations HD -- and both were on Nintendo systems.
SSFIV was put on 3DS too.
So I'm not quite sure how Capcom screwed Nintendo.

Looks like there's a civil war going on here lol

When is the game releasing? If it releases before the PS3 version I expect some good numbers, around maybe 250k.

I don't expect 250k from the PS3 version, let alone the 2014 PSVita version with missing content.

History Lesson. The Capcom 5 was a set of 5 games capcom promised to bring to the gamecube as exclusives. Honestly I don't remember all the details of the "deal" as such, and I don't really understand all the salt it generated since the games it did produce were amazing.
Basically the 5 games ended up being

P.N.03 (viewed as mediocre)
Viewtiful Joe 1 (Went multiplat to PS2)
Resident Evil 4 (Also went mulitplat to PS2)
Killer 7 (Again, Multiplat to PS2)
Dead Phoenix (Cancelled and never released)

So of the 5, only one remained exclusive and one of them never released at all. Still, the games that did release were quite something. Resident Evil 4 and Viewtiful Joe in particular were some of the best experiences of that gen. As a result, despite only having a gamecube that Gen, I didn't really feel the salt like others seem to.

Forgive my lack of knowledge on the Capcom Five.
I don't think Nintendo got screwed there either... I'm inclined to agree with Jamix012.
And in place of that last game, GCN got RE:Make. So there's that too?

Almost confirmed. They also added Gravity Daze on Japan's PS+ yesterday.

Also, Siren, ICO, and Shadow of Colussus were added a few weeks ago (if I remember correctly at least, can't be bothered to recheck since I'm on my Asian account until I finish Dragon's Crown).

Yoshida himself tweeted the famitsu link a minute ago. May as well just assume it's confirmed!

Yep, I just saw the tweet. Hopefully we will get official confirmation in the next few hours.

Also, first official shot of FF X HD running on a Vita.

Yay Graviy Rush 2. plus, surprised by the Monster Hunter game for Vita. Even if it's an old, minor game. CapCom recognises that the Vita exists!

Get over it 3DS fanboys, Capcom likes $. They will slap MH onto any platform possible and MH is a system seller.

If that were true, Tri would have been on every possible platform rather than the Wii and the Wii U. Why would you update the game into HD and NOT release it on the PS360. It makes zero sense.

Offtopic a bit, but I glossed over that "Bayonetta movie" bit before until I just saw an article on it. At first I thought it couldn't be a real thing. Now I'm baffled because it is.

Anyone in here want to party up sometime soon for Dragon's Crown? I have a level 33 sorceress and 5 talisman's left to go on my first run of the game.

Speaking of -- how does shifting difficulties work -- can I swap at any time between difficulties after I beat the current difficulty? Does my character level remain the same if I go to a lower difficulty or am I forced into a capped level situation?

I know, I know. It's just...what if I'm right? :S

Even if you are right, nothing happens. Sub native res is a none issue to most people. I watch videos all the time in sub native res on my HD phone. You gotta let things like these pass man. You'll enjoy games more. Just my opinion.

I honestly for the life of me can't tell. How can you tell the difference between sub native/native games on Vita? o_O

Hm, maybe I should be grateful for that, hahaha. To me good-looking is good-looking; honestly can't make the difference.

Oh I'm glad that most people don't care. I care, though. I like to have nice image quality, so native res is important to me.

That being said, I can still enjoy a game just fine if it isn't native res.

It is a good you you can't tell. You don't want to be one of those guys that thinks Gran Turismo is 'unplayable' when it goes to 55fps on a particular turn, or that Call of Duty is a 'blurry mess' because it is not 720p.

BOYCOTT THE GAME! TEACH SE NOT TO WASTE OUR TIME WITH LAZY PORTS! WE CANNOT SUPPORT A GAME THAT IS SUCH A TECHNICAL DUMPSTER FIRE JUST BECAUSE IT'S ON VITA AND WE'RE STARVED FOR GAMES!

(or something like that, right? ;) )

Hey now -- there's a difference between some occasional frame dips and something like an action or fighting game going from 60fps to 30fps (and even then, having drops and chugging in parts...)! I'm looking at you, NGS+.

Haha, I was just jesting. :p

Yeah, I guess I should be grateful for that :)

But then again, I am one of those people who do not have any problem transitioning back and forth to stuff like Wii or PS2 or even the original DS, even after the many pleasurable eye-sex I have with Vita's OLED screen, hahaha.

Gravity Rush 2 has made me a happy Vita owner!
I got exactly what I wanted and more, TGS doesn't disappoint this year.

That sure took awhile. Hopefully now they start showing off the Vita version more now
Oh who am I kidding

YEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!

Now I have to buy the DLCs to make the wait easier. It hurts me whenever I see my trophies and it says 67%.

Hope they improve de combat.

So it really exists... interesting.

PS: The Japanese release date I put yesterday seems to be fake, sorry guys. It was confirmed in its thread.

So the Dec 19 release date is fake and the game's release date is still TBA? Bummer.

Yep, the latest press release of SE says "this winter" and no longer 2013.

http://www.novacrystallis.com/2013/...hd-remaster-will-launch-in-japan-this-winter/

Btw. Winter in Japan spans from November through February.

TotP recs: Let's all play GR to celebrate the almost-certain sequel. Also KZM, Dragon's Crown and get ready for Tearaway and Lone Survivor.
