None of the fossils are version exclusive.
But what can assume with that statement issued one or two things. All Pokemon are obtainable within the game or all Pokemon data is in the game. Polygon is just reporting on what they were told.
I really hope these fossils aren't version exclusive. And if they are please let Tyrantrum be in X(
You can choose between two Fossils during your adventure in Pokémon X and Pokémon YTyrunt can be obtained by restoring the Jaw Fossil.
Man, I don't understand any of this. I used to know every single Pokemon in the 151 days. Now I'm completely overwhelmed.
No worries, each game still has a fairly manageable number of Pokémon in its own regional Pokédex, so it doesn't feel overwhelming. You're still introduced to the region's Pokémon in an organic way. Only in the post-game does the number of available creatures start to burst at the seams.
Well that's sooner than expected. Sorry fire bird....maybe another time.
I imagine your Pokemon will just get the same amount of EVs as if you had fainted the Pokemon.I wonder how catching EXP will affect EV spreads.
Will it just be the standard stuff? Or are they gonna do something different?
I think the status quo will be upheld there.I wonder how catching EXP will affect EV spreads.

Gen VI fossils aren't. The official site states that you choose.
The trainer was also given a Weight Bag item at this time. The weight bag can then be used on any Pokémon in the party to increase their EVs for a pre-determined stat.
You can pick fossil it seems.
They're both in both! You just have to choose the one you want.
coolio
you get to choose the fossil.
None of the fossils are version exclusive.
What's this about? It just sounds like the Power items from previous games.Ooh, that's even better than just getting the increase.
Omg... did I just read a hint at 3DS and Wii U Pokemon Snap at the end of that Polygon article? I mean, he didn't even brush it off... it sounded promising... Oh no! The hype!
Excellent.
This pleases the Fox.
Champ level.
It would make sense to make one.Shouldn't a new thread be created for all these first hour impressions articles showing up? Or is there already one and I missed it?

Again, Gen IV fossils were exclusives(and in Platinum, you could only find one type depending on your trainer ID). You get to choose as usual in Gen VI, though.
Yes! It has an ice type move which is Super Effective against Water!
According to serebii
This is the evolution of Tyrunt:

It is called Tyrantrum.
"Aurorus has a move called Freeze Dry, which is an Ice-type move which freezes the opponent but is said to be super effective against Water-type Pokémon."- Serebii...wat

Yeah, the wording of this is iffy. I've put a line out to try and get clarification.
