That's funny.. there's no "maybe." They absolutely do not have any way to powerlevel characters.

The ONLY thing you're getting out of it is a Chimera clear. It is not even remotely analogous to stealing from someone. Nobody loses anything just because you got credit for a fight through a way that wasn't intended. It's also very different from a glitch that can ruin the game's economy, or any other sort of glitch with long-lasting effects. The benefits of this are super minor. I'm waiting to hear about them banning people who use the tree branch glitch in AK next.To me, that's analogous to someone leaving their windows down, car unlocked, and a laptop sitting in the driver seat. The temptation and error is on the owner of the car, but it doesn't excuse someone who comes by and takes the laptop.
SE may be at fault, but it's still an exploitation.
FATEs, but we all know that your character will be banned well before they get anywhere. You'll just end up with a banned account and no items or money if you ever get your character or account back.

I don't even have the inventory space to hold all this shit for one recipe.
I very much doubt they can farm fates effectively with bots. Do you really think they have a bunch of kids just grinding fates on other peoples' characters all day? You're paying $200 to get your FFXIV account banned for RMT spamming and your credit card stolen.
Is there anyway of getting around sending stuff to a friend - and then having them send the stuff to your mule? So, it would seem I can't create a mule and then email myself my items... do I need to go through another person or is there a work around?

I hate how, as a pgl, you just have to stand there and hit mobs head on. Unless there's something I'm missing.

At level 1 that's all there is to it. What level are you? At 50, you move around 3x more than a DRG has to lol.
You mean if you're soloing? I've been leveling LNC, and I just use whatever the best combo is to use without the benefit of positionals. If the mob starts casting something, I go to the side and Heavy Thrust. If it doesn't do that then I'll just stun it once in a while so I can get to the flank.
SE said:"The game logs of violators will be investigated"
Jimbo: Whoa, Hydra just stopped moving, what the fuck?
Asuna: Is this part of the fight?
WarGOD: I'm not sure... it might be a different phase?
UltraGoku: So, basically I want the healer right here spam healing me I'm going to glitch him out so we can hurry up out of here.
FourTwenty: Can we just dps him through the glitch? He won't attack us?
UltraGoku: Correct.

Yeah, soloing. Can't flank unless they're casting or anything, just annoying. Only 29 though.
Had to do a lot of soloing as a PGL for Bard and I absolutely hated it. Especially after having gotten used to ranged attacks as an Archer.
It is pretty annoying. Melee really needs a tank buddy or they're gimped for deeps. I'm willing to put up with it because my Hellsguard looks so awesome with her spear, it just wouldn't be the same with a bow. At any rate, it's not really important for DRG to do its positional thing until 50, at which point you're just running instances with a tank anyway.
At any given level, is the GC gear you can get generally better than any gear you'd find from a merchant in the wild or is it variable?
A couple questions on the GC seals:
- I only see 3 or so items / materials available to deliver for seals, does this increase later on?
- Are fates the quickest way to get seals or ? It seems lik I only get 100-200 per fate and this seems slow to me.
some of the male armor in this game is just... ugh. Why as a gladiator am I wearing bloomers? Ok, forget they're bloomers but bloomers as ARMOR???
Wow. That is super awesome.Has this calculator been posted yet?

If the info is correct on it, man is it useful for figuring out what mats are needed to craft and whats the best gear you can wear for any given level...

I asked this earlier, but didn't really get a response, but can someone point me to a tutorial on, or explain to me, the best etiquette for marking mobs as a tank?
Specifically, I'm confused about whether I should be marking them in the priority I'm going to be going after them or if I should be indicating the priority the DPS members should be giving them.
So in a dungeon as we approach a large amount of trash mobs, after some experience I'll know which are stronger and which are weaker. I'm assuming I as the tank should target the strongest and use an AoE to grab all of the mobs, but the DPS would want to focus on taking out the weaker mobs of the group out first. So should I be marking my strongest mob with "Attack1" (the one I'll be engaging directly) and the weaker mobs with 2-4 (or whatever), or should my marks indicate "Attack 1" as the mob the DPS should start out with instead?
Also, do tanks bother marking at all during boss battles as a general rule?
Finally, marks that indicate "Bind1", etc. Are those marks my responsibility or should the magic user that will be immobilizing those mobs be putting those marks up to let us know which he or she is immobilizing?

Binding marks are a godsend if you need your WHM to sleep stuff though, because they can use a macro to cast on an enemy marked with a specific mark, so they don't have to change targets.

Ultros wins! (Looks like almost all servers got them.)
I really like the Duty Finder. So much better than having to /tell PT leaders for hours in FFXI...
